I had the same thing happen with Libby and the last hour of Fried Green Tomatoes! I think my wait time was months. 😂 If grumpy owl is going to be displayed primarily at Halloween, I like frame 3. I really like #1 for year round display. Congratulations on the ribbons and I’m so looking forward to Paige the Farmer! ❤
Lake George looks incredible!! I do like your new glasses. Hopefully you get quickly adjusted to them. Your knitting is fun and practical. Congratulations on your fair ribbons! How nice to get free fair tickets with your entries! When I entered the Alaska State Fair they'd send a check for your wins. It really wasn't much, perhaps $6 for first place. 😆 I'd prefer free fair admission! Of your frame choices, I like the chunky iron #3 the best followed by #4. So cool that you can design and stitch your own patterns!
Great to see you Paige! Your vacation looked so fun. Your time with Jack is so special! Tommi turned me on to Neil Gaiman and I loved Ocean at the end of the Lane. Think I will have to check it out again. Btw, I use Hoopla as well as Libby. Hoopla let’s you keep books 3 weeks instead of 2, but there are no holds, and there is a monthly limit. I find that sometimes I have to switch back and forth to find all the books in a series. I was noticing the carving on your chair today-it’s beautiful!
Congratulations Paige on your ribbons. Well done! As far as the frames go I would say I like the enameled blue. I see an orange frame because that is me, lol. I am reading Sally Goldenbaum’s A Seaside Knitters Society Mystery series. I have her first four books, set in Massachusetts. They all have knitting patterns in them and I am enjoying reading them.
Congratulations on your ribbons! How fun to be creating your own designs! Regarding the frames, I like the flossy blue and the Black scroll. I use Libby for audio books too and I also use another resource from our library called Hoopla. The latter lets you keep the item for 3 weeks but limits to 4 per month. Neither resource offers everything I look for but then I figure I can check it out from the library if I really want to read it. I am currently listening to the Mrs Pollifax series about a woman who is bored in retirement so she decided to join the CIA. I enjoy book series so I can follow the characters. I learned about the series from Krista West who is a designer (Avlea Folk Embroidery) and has a channel on cross stitch/embroidery.
Oh, almost forgot…I liked the turquoise frame the best, I thought the gold floral echoed the design surrounding GrumpyO and the color seems to say “Yeah, you can be grumpy in your space, but out here we will continue to be happy with the beauty around us” My second choice was the last one, black scroll?, which kept the mood more somber. Xo
Choosing a frame is hard! But after seeing all of them I'm leaning towards #1, the floral blue/turquoise. I like the iron color on the last 2, but they both seemed too wide, like it was more than what the grumpy owl could manage. But that could be a function of seeing it on camera instead of in person. You do you.
Paige, you might want to take the eye glasses back and have the lenses evaluated. I had a problem adjusting to glasses a while ago and it turned out that one of the lenses was not ground correctly. Also, I vote for Frame #4, but I like #1 a lot too.
@@PaigeTheFramer Paige, your vacation looked so special, what wonderful memories for your nephew ❤ I really enjoyed all of your projects and stories. The shawl looks very interesting!
