I am shook. I've known this song for a few years now. And I loved~ the throat singing, because I am an inuk woman. AND ONLY NOW REALIZED that a known Inuk throat singer is in this song, Tanya Tagaq! This is so cool!!

I wish more people knew about July talk

Not enough artists truly understand the music video as artform these days. July Talk is a tremendous exception to that rule. So much raw emotion here. That hand reach/rejection really summarizes the entire song in a single image.

I wish more performers could dance and sing this well! Wow

I super love the dialogue in this song, I don't typically care about lyrics but I love how this song is two people who don't really know what they're doing or how they feel about each other, trying to communicate

Huge fan of you guys. I'm also from Canada and I hope to see you live one day! This band deserves to have worldwide recognition, even more so than it currently does.

I feel ashamed I have been missing out on this AMAZING BAND for years and only recently discovered their music. Burning thru their back catalog and getting to watch them evolve in a matter of hours has been a fun experience. Keep up the amazing work!

I just found July Talk and am completely blown away. It’s like The Cardigans mixed with Rage Against the Machine and Tom Waits... it’s just great. The text, music, arrangement, style - all of it.

This has got to be one of my all time favorite videos on RU-vid. Concept, visuals, production, song, band, lyrics, total package. Watched many times and always finding something new.

Words could never do this video justice. These guys are so talented, not just as musicians, but as artists. I love their music but finding out they do all their own music videos just gives me a whole new appreciation for them!

The best july talk song

I don't quite understand the abstract "art" of the dancing of their music videos but the mismatch of their voices being on such extreme ends of the spectrum and how they mix together I just find incredible

here from Steep and this is the best song of the game, hands down.

Something so alluring Leah Fay's voice in this song! It's so captivating. Obviously the awesome riffs too but yeah, definitely an awesome band out of all the crap-pop-rock for the last two decades!

I so love Canadian talent. And they are the shit. I was at Kongos here in Calgary. I found out July Talk was coming Dec.3. Got home already sold out. Totally bummed I was.

Can't "thumbs-up" this one enough. July Talk revisits the theme of sexual tension often--and manages to hit it out of the park every damn time. This one hits it out of the stratosphere.

Had I not visited Bellingham WA I'd never have heard of them. I wish they played farther south from Canada....on the radio I mean. I love these guys. Their voices totally compliment each other. My fave so far is Lola + Joseph.
