Thank you for not giving any spoilers about the Lisa Jewell book. When someone reviews a book I'm really looking forward to reading, I'm always holding my breath a little, thinking please please please don't give anything away. You did just right with it. Next time you're in the mood for another Jewell novel, I think you'd like I Found You. It has that structure she commonly uses, where there are two or three seemingly unrelated plot lines, and then she brings them together in a way that makes it worth the patience.
I really appreciate the nail colours you choose and I love when people talk with their hands because it usually coincides with an open and bubbly personality. I’ve yet to pick up a Lisa Jewell but I think I’ll give her a try. Im currently reading House in the Cerulean Sea because I usually don’t read fantasy but not do you and you liked it so worth a try. I want something fluffy before I start the book club book 🥰
finished in the woods and I am HOOKED! it was also beautifully written, which I didn't expect. I'm definitely going to read the whole saga now, so thank you so much for pushing me to read it!
Have just picked up Writers and Lovers from my library based on your vlog! Just finished No one is talking about this and felt like I missed a lot of the references in the first half but loved the second half. Absolutely balled at the acknowledgments when I realised just how autobiographical it was 😭
have both lockwood's and fuller's books on hold at the library, pretty long wait, so it might be a while but definitely want to read both, surprised you didnt love unsettled ground from what i heard, but probably good, maybe i should temper my expectations haha
Everyone else seemed to love it so I definitely think I’m in the minority - and like I said I still thought it was a great book objectively. Hope you enjoy!
Your nail game is always strong! Matching with your top today 👋👋 Seven Days in June sounds great - can I wait for the paperback? I think we both know the answer to that.
I just finished Writers & Lovers too and really liked it, too. 4 stars for me because I just didn't see any chemistry between Casey and Oscar and that annoyed me. Always love your nails and as a fellow hand talker, I can relate.
I hear what you are saying about fantasy, try A Brightness Long Ago by Kay. It is a draw between fantasy and historical fiction of a country. The writing is beautiful and the story is addictive and so wonderfully told. It is a stand alone so you are committed to a long trilogy or more. I think you would be surprised I know I was. Just finished A Unsettled Ground. I found it better in retrospect than I did reading it. It had a story I am still mulling over.
In the kindest way possible because you're my fave booktuber...it's the Northern Territory (singular) 😁. I haven't read any Jane Harper but you've sold me! I like the premise and setting of her latest book, Forces of Nature. Would you be interested in picking that one up next?
Haha thank you for letting me know! Good to not embarrass myself if I ever make it to Aus 😂 I’ll definitely be reading more from her so Force of Nature sounds great 😊 thank you
You read 21 books in a month and still manage to have a life? How? Please teach us oh wise one. Seriously though, how do you manage to read so much in a month. Have you already covered this? Is there a vlog?
I’m currently listening to How the One Armed Sister Sweeps Her House Unsettled Ground I’m hoping you enjoyed The Lost Man ? Piranesi I really enjoyed. I listened to The Mermaid 🧜♀️ of Black Conch in July. ☘️👋🍀📚💐📖☕️📕

The US cover of Writers and Lovers is awful. I think it’s part of the reason I haven’t picked it up. So interesting the different covers between the US and UK. Just started In The Woods again. Love this series so much. Glad to have a reason to reread it.
