The ride system looks the same as the new Jurassic World ride from Universal Studios Beijing, so Universal has used this system before. I can see them using this system for a possible Zelda ride for Super Nintendo World.
Gardaland is a fantastic theme park. Went there a few years ago, and was amazed at both the quality of the rides/attractions and also the organisation. Definitely recommended.
Correction - it’s themed entertainment companies that have helped Disney and Universal, or companies that have ex-Disney and Universal folks, who are creating amazing dark rides for other parks 😋
I’d say that it’s probably closer to the pricing for Universal. Merlin Entertainments tends to go all out with their theming. Just look at Alton Towers and Thorpe Park.

Carina ma paragonata alla vecchia valle dei re o ai corsari non regge il confronto . Spero che l'anno prossimo aggiungano qualcosa alla tematizzazione perché ci sono enormi buchi. già in coda si vedono i soffitti e non è un bel biglietto da visita ed anche le pareti sono fatte di plastica rozza
This looks fun! There even seems to be some references to the original 1995 film near the end with the pedestals being the original pawns from the board game, and then at about 7:15 for a split second you can see the pillar looks to have the original board game layout on it. Really hope this comes to other locations. Would love to ride it!
Not gonna lie, this ride looks siiiiiiiick. The effects with the giant stone monster animatronics is amazing. And that stone effect for the car is clever
che porcata... ma davvero hanno smantellato la vecchia attrazione per questo orrore? for the uninitiated, instead of Jumanji there was an attraction set in ancient egypt that was in the top 10 best attractions in europe. You would sit inside a cart and for twenty minutes you were one of the explorers who discovered at Tutankhamun's tomb and were cursed by it. "The valley of the kings".Colossal animatrons, play of lights, colored smoke, lasers, music, it was WONDERFUL. Then the park stopped giving him attention, the animatrons were slowly destroyed, the audio went out, the laser and smoke games were turned off and the attraction was not restored. They killed a piece of history to do this.

Its look nice, not the grandest, but its little tricks and clever visuals and game transitions do help it be better than most! I do think if the lighting was done better, I think it would of made the ride more imersive. Overall, if I rode it I would enjoy it and wouldn't be that disappointed!
This is the hottest summer in years. I stood in a 40-minute line to get into the "jumanji ride," in the blazing sun and total humidity inside, before I got to the jeeps. I believed that absurd line among the Egyptian ruins and in the scorching heat was already part of the "jumanji ride." I almost died. However, it was worth it!!! Compared to the opening day, they have now made some improvements.
Anything is better than the fast and the furious ride 😂 universal needs to get rid of it immediately…I would be beyond embarrassed to have a ride like that in my park

Concordo con te, mi ha dato molto le stessa sensazione di una horror house da fiera per niente immersiva... Ai tempi Corsari e Valle dei re non avevano nulla da invidiare alle attrazzioni disney o universal, pur avendo budget minore, ma qui invece si percepisce proprio che abbiano speso il minimo e indorato la pillola con il brand Jumanji. Per quanto riguarda la questione vendita del parco, la Merlin é stata di recente acquistata da kirkby, che é la holding di lego, quindi dubito il parco venga venduto singolarmente a breve, ma a quanto pare il prossimo anno cambierá lo storico amministratore delegato del parco, e speriamo non si vada incontro ad un ulteriore tracollo. C'è da dire che i soldi li avrebbero, ma é cambiata proprio la mentalità degli investimenti limitati a produrre attrazioni con minima spesa e massima resa. Ciò che mancano sono figure professionali come i fratelli Mazzoli che hanno reso Gardaland un parco stupendo per i tempi, soprattutto considerando il budget, e rimango dell'idea che il problema siano mancanza di competenza, voglia e idee nella gestione attuale, non di soldi...quelli ne avrebbero anche troppi.
@@avatarqwerty9922 l'amministratrice nuova inizia il primo maggio ma io ho seriamente dubbi che cambierà qualcosa. È una figura messa lì da Merlin, e già questo dice tutto. La malattia di Gardaland è proprio Merlin, che non vuole investire seriamente, che riempe il parco di brand e che sta diminuendo sempre di più gli spettacoli (vedi l'eliminazione del Palatenda).

Se guardi c'è molta più gente soddisfatta che delusa di Jumanji e questo non fa altro che confermare, dal loro punto di vista, il loro modo di agire e smentire chi come noi si aspettava di meglio. Probabilmente come dici tu il cambio di AD non modificherà la mentalità, ma vedremo che cosa porteranno, lasciamo il beneficio del dubbio e si vedrà. C'è da dire che probabilmente visto l'andazzo del parco, io risparmierò i soldi del biglietto che ogni anno spendevo per Gardaland, per andare in un parco Europeo migliore e godere di un esperienza migliore... Ormai é l'unica cosa che si può fare se non si é più in linea con la mentalità dell'attuale Gardaland

Does this ride feel like the Indians Jones ride at Disneyland (where it speeds up a bit and the train is rocking via hydraulics) or more like the Harry Potter Ride at Universal where it’s just the live action animatronics and video screen?
Honestly I think this looks more enjoyable than the new WDW Ratatouille ride. I prefer the practical effects/ride bits like the spiders much better than basically waiting in line to watch a mini movie in a rat mobile. Screens just don’t do it for me like actual effects and set pieces do.

It's not bad, but I don't feel like your really in the video game world like the new Jumanji intended. I think like a clever door/portal trick in the pre-que to make it seem like you got sucked in would be cool and using a similar trick when you "complete" the game/ride. Visuals are decent, but the animatronics are good, mostly the giant is amazing. For a dark ride, passable. 7.5/10, closer to 8.

Contando i 20 milioni spesi, l'altezza minima (che contraddice l'averla pubblicizzata da oltre un anno come "attrazione per tutta la famiglia") e il fatto che incluso il "pre show" dura meno dei corsari... Forse di buono c'è che almeno abbiamo avuto la conferma che Ramses era stato un flop clamoroso.. Vedremo se di persona farà un effetto diverso, ma a vedere il video (in ottima qualità 4K, mtk chiaro e ben fatto) al momento mi sembra una cosa un mix tra Tunga, Ramses e il cinema dinamico di qualche anno fa 🤷
ma secondo te hanno investito per davvero 20 milioni? I parchi gonfiano sempre le cifre, ne avranno spesi neanche la metà dato che la struttura c’era già e hanno semplicemente cambiato il tema interno…nemmeno costruendola da zero avrebbero speso 20 milioni

20 milioni e hanno ricilato scenografie e animatronics... Basta vedere il serpente che é preso, e nemmeno cambiato, dalla vecchia sala del tesoro della valle dei re. Non dubito che sia costato così tanto, probabilmente avranno pagato fior di quattrini per appropriarsi i diritti di jumanji per poi appiopparlo su un attrazione mediocre come questa. Io ho provato jumanji e devo dire che gli schermi e i vagoni sono molto carini e ben fatti, ma questa é l'unica cosa salvabile... Durata 3 minuti, pareti spoglie e manca scenografia, animatronics già rotti, storia infima e poco immersiva, ma ciò che mi ha fatto più storgere il naso sono stati le luci e cavi che si possono vedere a tratti sul soffitto o in spazzi vuoti di scenografia, ciò rompe proprio tutta la immersività. Per assurdo Tunga smantellato 15 anni fa era più ben fatto e nel complesso più immersivo di Jumanji. É cambiato proprio lo stile nel concepire la dark ride e se andate a vedere, jumanji é molto simile come struttura ad altre attrazioni della Merlin in Inghilterra... Sembra un po un copia/incolla ritematizzato.

Ummmmm just my 3 cents......BUT..... Seems odd to pay for licensing fees for the IP and then make a ride that has little to nothing to do with the actual "Jumanji" movie(s)?!?!?!
love the attraction, as an Italian I particularly appreciate it, but still I didn't really like it that much, I mean other than the videos it was pretty bland and simple in my opinion, and I still have to find some really good Italian dark rides, one I particularly enjoy is Huntik 5D in Magicland, there's also Reset in Mirabilandia but last time I did it I was just a kid and it was pretty scary sl I donìt remember LOL
