JUMP FORCE Switch VS PS4 Gameplay (Graphics, Frame Rate, Loading Times) 

They honestly should’ve just downgraded the graphics and resolution if the frame rate was gonna look this bad. That fight scene with Frieza and Goku looked terrible

I'm honestly glad I have it on the switch now. Yeah, the cutscene are god awful, but the gameplay is smoother than the cutscenes, so that wouldnt affect me at all. I'm glad I get to play this for the first time :D

The loading is faster and it’s less lagg in switch but the ps4 has better movement and better frame speed

I probably can’t play through the story mode again since I was bored the first play through it the first time on PS4 but at least the fighting is smooth enough. I’ll pick it up on sale

It's obvious that the PS4 version looks way smoother than the switch version. The Nintendo Switch doesn't have the right hardware and software to run Jump Force like the PS4. It's still amazing that they tried it, though. Although it looks like the game lags a bit.

It's just the opening cutscene that runs like jank. The others and especially the gameplay all run at 30fps (mostly). I have no idea what the hell happened with coding for that opening but hopefully they patch it.

I am pleasantly surprised of how good it looks on Switch despite the downgrade. It looks pretty nice.

I expected a bigger difference but the Switch version is looking comparable to the PS4 version and they said this game was unable to run on Switch. Framerate needs some work, specially in cutscenes but other than that runs good enough during gameplay.

looks very comparable to how dragon ball xenoverse 2 is looked at by ps4 players when they see the switches version. the anti-aliasing is better on switch, motion blur is kind of annoying to look at if its not an actual cut scene. the gameplay is good enough to where you get the game on the switch which is not bad, but it is a downgrade. that being said, i'd still rather play the ps4/ xbox version of jump force do to the fact that those have less probability of chugging or overheating like the switch presumably would playing a game with sharper graphics like this. xenoverse 2 and fighterZ don't suffer nearly as much as this game seems to but there are several reasons for that.

Not bad. The PS4 is a bit more impressive as is the case for many games such as MK11. Though, I’m impressed it looks this good and runs pretty well in terms of frame rate.

Switch version has faster loading times and less input lag, but the the PS4 version runs at a far more consistent frame rate and has better lighting effects and texture work.

Honestly, if the cutscenes were such a problem because of the Frame Rate they could've just recorded them off a PS4 and had them play as standard video files on Switch.

Tbh, the cutscenes on Switch is terrible. If you give attention to the details you'll find it annoying to watch. But for a portable console it's not half bad. When you start to play the actual game it becomes smoother. Kudos to Nintendo for bringing Jump force

Eh.....blame it for the fact i can't really tell the difference between frame drops that much when looking at it but both look mostly on the same level with the only real difference that i can notice being there's a bit more to the PS4 when it comes to visuals when it comes to the effects graphics (basically the sparks, glowing lines on the cube thing is brighter, that kind of thing. Both are good enough while watching it that I'd have to play both versions myself to actually tell if there's any real differences to them that it'd affect gameplay for me. Granted i play jrpgs with far worse visuals and more frame drop than what was ever shown in this that i doubt either version would bother me that much....and ultimately i've no desire to buy the game anyway, just chiming in from what i can see in the video. Personally i preferred the DBZ games when they were 2D so FighterZ is closer to how i like combat if i'm to be honest...or a system more like back on the Gamecube/PS2 days with the Budokai or Budokai Tenkaichi series where the combat used actual command inputs for specials instead of the L1+face button that recent games use....granted the Budokai Tenkaichi also started the trend with the camera where you can move everywhere on the field and one character is close to the screen while the other is zoomed out when far away which is actually something i did not like at all....prefer the camera when looking at the characters side by side in 2D if i'm to be honest...haven't touched a DBZ game extensively since those games (tried out my bro's copy of Xenoverse and didn't like the game due to these differences). I pretty much just prefer 2D fighters like Blazblue, Guilty Gear, Under Night, Granblue Fantasy Versus, and hell even Smash Bros i guess.

I like both and i think the cutcenes are awesome yes i see the difference but its so minor that it doesn't take away from the game in my opinion people are just hard to please these days they expect perfection and they forget that games used to look alot worse and everyone was happy with them cause they were fun to play why can't we just enjoy video games like the old days and be happy with the fact that we have good graphics and games now and just enjoy the damn game without complaining all I see in the comments is complaining

Plastation is a giant box. It looks like an old computer. Nintendi switch is the size of a mobile phone. The least that is expected is that play station will have better graphics. Because in everything else points and with a size 1000 times smaller. Nintendo switch is the winner

Doing a react video to this video would be pretty interesting... But I am gonna do a comment instead lol. So, first thing to notice is the switch tells you to have your grip on instead of the whole "This game auto saves" thing. It also makes you log in on the account inside of the game, which is also notably different than other switch games I have previously seen before. Now on to the bread and butter of this: **Graphics** Surprisingly, the graphics are still pretty nice on Switch, I'll give Nintendo that, but with a side-by-side comparison, it is now visible that 1) there are less lights, 2) less color was left in, 3) special areas like story mode mini movies and special move animations run slower than the PS4 does, and 4) it looks like the characters aren't as... Defined in this as they are on PS4. Not as sharp and clean as before. I could be wrong, but eh. The audio was good. Nothing wrong there. There wasn't much lag (if any) at all when you went to the main building's room. Both were offline, and the switch may have moved a bit slower than the PS4, but it was still definitely fluid. The fighting is what I had to watch closely. The battle areas (although not as lit and colored with said lights) and fights were still well done. Not as beautiful as the PlayStation, but it still looks very nice and is a good choice for anyone who wants to play it on the switch. The moves and animations are still very flashy, and the fights and cutscenes are still EXTREMELY enjoyable. To be honest, I'd love to play this on Switch too, if the chance ever becomes possible. It seems like fun! Anyway, great job on the video, and really glad you did a side-by-side comparison. Very helpful. Keep up the good work, Slo.

Doesn't seem to bad on the Switch. Even loads faster than the PS4 does. I only notice the lag at the very beginning of a fight. The rest of the fight is good.

Funny how neither have 60fps and that's one of the first times I've seen a switch game run 15 fps

This is coming from a switch owner and this is my personal opinion I agree that the game looks and runs better on the PS4. I think the reason the cutscenes(for example) look laggy as hell is because i think they prioritized gameplay over cutscenes and stuff like that... And i expected it to run worse than it actually does, it actually runs great (from a switch POV) I played the ps4 version a couple months ago(before covid hit my country, cause i dont live in the US) I personally liked it as a local multiplayer experience. Might get it for my platform just for that reason... But i have to agree that the PS4 runs it better, i dunno xbox. Now that i think about it How well does it run on xbox?

idk why they put a max of 1080p on switch i mean native 720p docked and 540p in portable to keep stable 30fps would be better, this game runs at 30fps just in the tittle screen, this port is basically the pc version with everything in low
