I love when women rock. Eddie's music is the reason why I decided I wanted to start playing guitar. The great 80s and their music. You nailed it. The small parts that sound a bit different from the record sound great and kinda give a footprint to your version. The most important thing is you're truly enjoying the song, so much that you make it look easy to play.

When Eddie died this year it was like one of the last’s straws for me in 2020... life long musician here and losing Eddie hurt. Since then I have found that I appreciate his musicianship more now than ever in my life. Watching you play and more importantly listening to you was overwhelming. Your hard work is evident and your cover of this track literally had me in tears. Absolutely beautifully done! Yes Sophie, he was such a huge influence on millions of guitar players. He caused people to just pick up a guitar and start to learn (me included). A true pioneer of electric guitar. I love his signature "EVH WG standard" guitars. These are awesome instruments with the 2020 editions at as little as £399 sterling new. 1) Amazing pickups (Wolfgang humbuckers) equivalent to Seymors or Bare Knuckles. 2) Graphite reinforced neck...... 3) Baked maple NECK ........and baked maple fingerboard. 4) "FLOYD rose special" that is actually made by Floyd themselves.(not a licensed as floyd) trem. 5) A carved Spalted maple top....... true wooden top. (or poplar burl top) 6) Ability to coil split the pickups if you wish (a small FREE mod is required) 7) Great small sized electric guitar..... with good weight relief and comfort. They were originally made by Musicman, which explains the similarities'....but they are now made be EVH themselves. Check out how much $$$ musicman want for a similar guitar of their own design now....! an amazingly solid guitar......a quality instrument.....it can't be beat at anyplace close to that price.

Watching you do it up close impresses on me how many subtle, skillful things Eddie did in this song; it wasn't just the riff and the solo. Lots going on. Gorgeous guitar and killer tone. Excellent work Sophie!

I'm 99% positive that your technique is fundamentally different to some other people's because of your petite stature, smaller hands, etc. You've obviously overcome these difficulties, and your playing / sound is great, too. But I think a discussion about the merits of physical limitations and counter-techniques to overcoming them would be very interesting to hear, thanks! Keep rockin' that island tour. 🤣👍
