Meg, you rode amazingly, and you shouldn't doubt yourself 😊 Perdy was a sweetheart. It was lovely to hear your mum, she was praising you and sounded very proud. I look forward to seeing you next lesson of Jam and Dee ❤
Hobbit is so proud of you. I love to hear it in her voice when she's filming you ride. You are so fortunate to have such positive support and help around. Don't you realize you can do anything you dream of? THINK FOWARD MEG. KEEP THAT POSITIVE LEG ON!
If I could like this video a zillion times I would. You rode so so so so so well. Purdy thought so too the way she went. With a NLP/Neuro linguistic hat on, please don’t big up badminton too much in your brain. Think confidence and preparation (which you are) rather than saying it’s big and I am worried. We all know it’s a massive achievement and a whopping big course , and the pressure of the title sponsor , and we are all gunning and excited for you. Self talk is so powerful and you are a fab rider - believe! Lucinda wouldn’t let just anyone ride her horses - meg you rock
You are spot on with the self talk issue and fear focus. Would love to hear how she would sound with a bit of neural rephrasing, we already know she can ride beautifully and skillfully!
Loved how Lucinda was ALWAYS telling you, "LOOK UP!!" You have to see where you're going and also be preparing for the next fence as well. Great lesson to watch!! So chuffed and proud of you Meg!! 💖 💖 Can't wait to see the ones with DeeDee and Jam. I'm sure Lucinda will be saying "COUNT!!" and "LOOK UP!!" a fair amount of times. You're a very good rider Meg. Trust yourself!! Love from Ontario, Canada, Jenn. 💖 💖 🇨🇦 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟
Amazing riding Meg it’s a big step from ponies to horses especially that technical jumping .. should be very proud of yourself you looked incredible xx
Meg, I wish you could see yourself the way we see you. You rode Perdy wonderfully, and as she said you made Perdy look good. Rate yourself luv, the rest of us are all cheering you on. Looking forward to seeing Jam and Dee's lessons.
I hope you get a horse some day soon, you could definitely move up the levels! Also, really enjoyed listening to Lucinda’s instruction! Anyone know where that neck strap was from??
meg, you rode beautifully! i love watching your videos one because i just do, but two because you give me so much inspiration! i look up to you so much and i just want you to know how proud i am at how brave you were to even ride a new horse.
Watching this made me feel so much better. I have lost a lot of confidence lately showjumping because I ride a somewhat green OTTB 5 year old mare(funnily enough named Ellie) and she is speedy and has recently started bucking. I don't feel confident in myself at all and so it was so nice to watch this and be reassured that I am not the only one who feels not very confident showjumping sometimes and who is too hard on themselves. Loved watching this! Edit: omg I got pinned! I’m your first ever customer by the way! Bears front shoe is hanging in my room!
Love her teaching style, firm, attentive, extremely supportive and knows exactly how to work your confidence up. Communicating as clearly as humanly possible and giving a guide on how the horse will feel before you're even on. Gorgeous!
Love Hobbit 💗 she's so proud of you both!! Good for you seeking help and guidance, love how you are so sensible and I'm such a fan of Lucinda,, cant wait for the next installment 🥰
What a remarkable 5 year old! And you are remarkable you should never doubt yourself ! That extended trot 😍 I know this was 10 months ago but all these Instructors see how amazing you are !! And it's amazing to learn from all of them 💙
Perdy is the type of horse that gives the ability to people to ride those big fences and not be scared. Meggy, get yourself one of these horses and you can jump the moon and no longer be scared to go over 1m competitively! You have more than enough riding skill, you are amazing!
Megan! You are an amazing rider! We all have doubts sometimes but your gonna be fine! For a period of time my pony was being very naughty and would pray the jumps would stay small. But then I started riding more and starting from the beginning on the flat! That really helped! And now I beg for the jumps to go up! A great way to think about it is to think you are invincible and nothing can hurt you! If you have such a great chance like this one just say well who knows when or if I’ll have another one so let’s make the best of it and jump the biggest I’ve ever done!
You know it takes a lot of guts and good riding to get on a horse you've never ridden before and jump the fences you did! You made it look easy and rode her lovely and what a super star she is. X
You doubt yourself so much!! You really have no idea what a fantastic rider you are! You smashed it 👏❤️ And how on earth is Purdy only 5?! Everyone needs a Purdy in their life! 😂
You did so well and looked brilliant on Perdy. Aww Hobbit's commentary at the end was so delightful, you could hear the pride in her voice 😍 Cannot wait to see how you get on with Dee Dee and Jam xxx
What an incredibly brilliant vlog Meg and really enjoyable to watch. Give yourself a well deserved pat on the back you took everything on and rode really well, nice one ❤🙌 x.
I loved hearing Hobbit's pride in her voice on Hobbitcam. But seriously, you did great. It's somewhat comforting to see riders at your level still question themselves and their own confidence.
Well done Meg, always daunting to jump an unfamiliar horse. Loved Lucindas advice to concentrate on the canter and not so much on the jump. Also the first thing we do when nervous, is to shorten the reins, and take the leg off! You did great, and Hobbit was amazing as always, she is so proud and supportive of you.💓
What a little beauty! Well done Meg! what a compliment to you Meg that Lucinda doesn’t like letting others ride her horses yet she Le you ride 2! She obviously trusts you and sees what a good rider you are. You need more confidence in yourself, you’re fab!!! But.....Remember to keep those pinkies tight 🤘🏼🤟🏼
Am happy happy she mentioned your wrists, hands and fingers. Made me feel better about what I was seeing. Lucinda is the best. Glad you taking her to heart. A suggestion - try beginning ballet exercises for shoulder and torso placement. Translate to saddle work.
RU-vid is so glad to have you back! And you're so close to 100k subs--I'm excited for you! Love the concept for this video and the others to come. I really get a ton of motivation to better my riding by watching pro lessons/riding sessions.
How lucky you are to have such a supportive mum ❤ you rode so well, I loved hearing the advice throughout your lesson😁. Does this mean you'll be upsizing from your adorable ponies?😉
Lucinda is an excellent teacher, so many hints and tips to help you ride better. If only we could all have someone like her at our yards. Well done, wonderful riding.
What an amazing opportunity, I had the pleasure of having a lesson with Lucinda 5/6 years ago and she was amazing! Also the comment of Dee to Marley...oh my gosh what a fantastic cross that would be!!
Aww, you could just see your confidence building throughout the lesson. Perdy is a lovely horse, but you made her look great. I'm hoping this gives you that confidence boost you need. We all know you can do it... You just have to get to a space where YOU know you can do it.
You can definitely ride Meg! Believe! Try to stop yourself if you think you are about to say something negative about yourself, I know it’s hard but I have tried this recently and you’ll be amazed how not hearing the negative stuff from yourself makes a difference 😊😊 you said so many nice things about Perdy but try to say some about yourself too 😘
Meg you ride BRILLIANTLY! I actually felt sick for you tho it's when you know you're in a new place, new horse and someone so amazing teaching you! It always feels worse than it looks too, you made her look super smart!! Also...did anyone else basically cry at the hobbit cam? She was doing that course with you! "Good girl meg" "yes meg""brilliant meg" we love you hobs!!!! Xxxxx
Super riding Meg. What a beautifully produced mare and a fabulous team Lucinda and Ellie are…so profesh but so kind and encouraging. And hobbit is the best cheerleader. A fabulous watch 🥇

Shes the one who will help you overcome any horse riding peoblem,So good to look back over the videos and then it put it into practice.Purdy is unbelieveably pretty and glides along so smoothly..What a GREAT INSTRUCTOR,isnt she the Best👌🏻👌🏻👏🏻👏🏻
You are such a skilled rider, it makes me sad to hear you doubt yourself so much, but I do the same every single ride so I really do get it. I'm thrilled you are getting this time with this crew I really think it will do your confidence the world of good ❤️ trust yourself and count!!
Meg you look so amazing on a bigger horse!!! Omg I cannot get over how amazing you guys did!! We know your confidence is up and down and you are just AMAZING!! You are a much better rider than what you give yourself credit for!!
You looked amazing! Honestly glad you are talking about loosing confidence tho because it’s something I’ve been trying to deal with for awhile now and not many people like to mention it or admit to it. Makes me really admire you
i have awful confidence but then my trainer put me on the sweeetest pony now i have gret confidence and you are great at riding you should stop doubting your self
Perdy (I hope I’m spelling it right) was the most beautiful thing! If I ever have a chance to purchase a horse, that is the coat color I would love. What a sweet girl!
