Hey good question! I just played my part with a clean bass tone for you guys so you could hear it clearly. I'm not 100% sure what he's using but it definitely sounds like a mixture either a mixture of a distortion pedal and a bit subtle octave pedal blend to me. Or it might be a bass synth. For example, if I was to try and emulate this tone with the pedals I have I would have used my Prunes and Custard bass distortion with the Pog 2 octave pedal layering just a tiny bit of 1 octave up and maybe 1 octave down too to fatten it up.
