Not sure when it was built but these older homes have real 2x4s and so forth. There built like fortress. Dismantling the house might not be cost effective by its location also! But I know what you mean!! Sad to see!!
@@fd19b Not safe to stand outside and show the trainees how fast you can stop the threat by applying tank water through the windows directly on the burning material?
Kurtis, I didn't say you were trying to impress anyone, more info is helpful, and an accurate title helps when people are looking for specific videos. This should actually be titled as a "Controlled burn", or "Training Fire" (along with the location), not "House fire". People appreciate better info.
Christopher, you're an idiot. If I was a troll, I wouldn't have been giving CONSTRUCTIVE criticism. Nowhere did I disrespect Kurtis, just gave some advice so his videos would be better. Nor was I "pushing him around". Just look at the comments, a lot of people had the same questions.
Interesting.... We have also a number of abandoned houses and barns here in Germany, but we would hardly get a permission to set one on fire for fire department training.
Anymore in the US, you have to meet a LOT of requirements before you can burn a house. It has to be checked for asbestos, and if you use it for training, then you have to have a lot of safety measures in place as well.
@@ffjsb In Germany the Guys from the Green Party would flip off, when you try to do it. Then there are suddeny Bats and other rare Animals and Plants at the House, and the burning cause to much high toxic Gases and and and...
@@lappilappland3708 That's why you have to remove any asbestos or hazardous materials. You'd get more pollution from a volcano in Iceland in Germany, than you would from all the accidental and training fires there. We don't use any gasoline or diesel to set the fires, just straw and wood pallets. So in the end, it's mostly wood burning with some plaster and asphalt shingles.
@@ffjsb Do you know where the Firefighter make a VERY BIG Mistake. They used Kerosin,Normal Fuel and Diesel in a Wooden House for a Training-Fire. Next Day they wanted to Ignite it. I think you can Guess what happend....*KaaaaWUUUuuuummmm !!!!!*
@@lappilappland3708 Actually, they used gasoline, and that was the cause of the explosion. The diesel and kerosene didn't cause the explosion. I guess that's what you're calling "normal fuel". ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-z5rkSKT9EQ4.html They weren't very bright.
Abandoned structure… notice yellow tape across front of house. Also, first story well-involved, second story well-involved, attire well-involved (notice fire venting through roof). Almost seems as if floors were penetrated for better heat flow…
Lemming, No. That is just to show that I have done this kind of thing once or twice, and that I am not just talking out of my ass, like some people tend to do in this forum.
