Hi Amy. I’m always in awe of your Phalaenopsis orchids. They are so beautiful. You have a lovely collection and you do a marvelous job growing them. So peaceful and so pleasant. Be blessed my friend.🥰👏💐💞🐕🦺
👋 Hi Shirley! You're so kind...I just really love them! I've been growing Phals for so long I can't remember when I didn't have them. They make my life happy.😊 Have a blessed weekend, my friend! 😇🌸💐🧡 Greetings from Jasmine to Bella! 🐶
After taking a couple of years off from growing orchids due to moving I thought my interest in orchid growing was over. I just missed them so much (sold all of them) and listening to your wonderful videos that i now have a small collection. Your orchids are just beautiful and I continue to learn so much about their care from you! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge of how to grow them and sharing your lovely collection of orchid plants with all of us! Blessings! I did notice that Buddy doesn’t seem to be in a videos.
Hi! It's so good to hear from you again! I'm glad you have a small collection of orchids now. Curious to know, what are you growing now? My lil Buddy passed away last May. It was really hard, I still miss him. I have Jasmine now...she's sweet as pie and 8 pounds of fun. She shows up in my videos and enjoys the stardom. ⭐️ Your comment made my day. Many blessings to you. 😇💐🌸
I think Magic Art has the largest blooms I've ever seen. Have you looked for one? I see them from time to time in Kroger. Have a great weekend, 😇 my friend 🧡 🌵
They're all beautiful, but my favorite Phals from your collection are Legato and Sogo Lawrence.🤩🤩 They are gorgeous, and of course, the Tolumnias, so cute.😊
Amy, I noticed you said you might need to cut the Legato spike so she would rebound next winter. Do you have a video on just this sort of care for orchids? Or perhaps you could address when you cut a spike or leave it. My orchids are either in bloom or in spike and ready to bloom. And now that they are under LED lights fir two months only, they are probably off schedule. You provide such wonderful info . I feel truly blessed by you and how you have enlightened me. I wish I could find a Phal Legato, but it seems impossible to find. When to rest orchids is tough to know.
Hi Lenore! That's a good video idea. When I cut spikes later this month I'll take everyone along and explain how and when I decide to cut them. Have a blessed day! 😇🌸💐
@@justinsdutchtropics it's a Lepanthopsis astrophora. It comes from the cloud forests of Central and South America. It's surprisingly easy to grow in this glass cloche...it likes the humidity. Blooms twice a year with purple these beautiful little purple stars. Have a great day, Justin! 😇
Identifying supermarket/flowershop orchids, especially phalaenopsis can be quite challenging. Most of the time they are complex hybrids. Sometimes the producer will put an identifier on their tag, even if its just a string of numbers. Otherwise you can try narrowing it down based on the flower's traits. I'll just google the orchid genus and a description of its flowers
