Hello cozy book friends!
It has taken me ages to get this video edited. Third trimester is hitting hard these days with lack of sleep and low energy. I'm hoping to get one more video up before it's baby arrival time, but I'm not sure if I can make that happen or not. July and August reads will definitely be combined into one video at the end of August/beginning of September.
I hope you are all doing well and having a lovely summer full of reading!

Thank you all so much for your lovely comments!! I am in the very final stages of my pregnancy and we are expecting the arrival of our sweet little boy any day now. That being the case my brain space has been filled with all the last minute baby prep and I haven't had the time or energy to hardly look at RU-vid, let alone sit down and respond to comments. Despite that, please know that I have read each and every one and I love hearing back from you all. Thank you for understand!! 🥰❤❤ Making videos for booktube has been such a joy and I can't wait to make more!

I really enjoyed your review of Sensibly Wed. I've read the entire Bradwell Brothers series and enjoyed them immensely. The third, Honorably Engaged, was my favorite.

Oh I hope you do start with The Blue Bedroom!!! You will love it. I do think you are going to become a huge fan of Rosamunde Pilcher. And don’t be intimidated by her long novels! They are so easy to read. Perfect reads for a beach vacation once your littles are a bit bigger! 😊

Regarding the concept of “protecting” the family name… I’m a mom of nine kids with most of them being teens and young adults now. We have learned that what one of us does reflects on all of us - and reflects on us as parents. I think that makes us be a little more intentional about our behavior - I know I am more careful with my words and actions when I think about how they might affect my older children. Great video!

I love DE Stevenson too. She’s my favorite author and I love the Miss Silver books too. Mrs. Abbot. The third Buncle book is The Two Mrs. Abbots, which involves other people too. I love older books and kind of mistrust modern books. You can trust them more. I love Rosamunde Pilcher books too. Read Winter Solstice. I read it this last winter and dearly loved it. It is really a great Christmas book. I love the RP short stories too.😊

Yayyyyyy! I’m not doing lot of Booktube currently, but I make time for yours! ♥️😄💜 I just recently read The Grand Sophy by Georgette Heyer and it was over-the-top silly, but fun. 😂

I also highly recommend The Blue Bedroom also. 😊 I recently took it into the hosp./ rehab w/ me. Loved every story but 2 but they were still good! I am presently reading The Shell Keepers, LOVE it. Have read Winter Solstice, EXCELLENT! Don't be afraid of her big bks. You're missing out. I am trying to collect all her bks. Think I have almost all of them. 😀

Yay, a new video! I'm currently on the second Mrs Pollifax book, thanks to you, and I'm loving it. It occurred to me that I never hear you talking about The Veronica Speedwell series, by Deanna Raybourn. If you haven't read it run, don't walk, it is everything that you love and nothing that you don't. Start with A Curious Beginning, and continue until you meet us eagerly awaiting the 10th book, to be released next year. ❤

I think the modern writer who writes Regencies most like Georgette Heyer's...is Carla Kelly. She has written romances set all over the world, but her Regencies are books I finish - and then hug. Thank you for another charming video. Best of luck with the new baby! 👋

I love how unflappable Mrs. Pollifax is, too, yes!!! Yes, unrealistic, but fun traveling and hearing about history! I’m reading The Chinese Shawl now!!! 😅 *whispers I like her a bit more sometimes then Miss Marple 👀😅

Have you read The Blue Bottle Club by Penelope J. Stokes? I love that book and have read it twice so far. I'll be reading it again in a few years.

Hi Emily! I'm new to your channel and I've been enjoying watching your videos so much! We have similar taste with authors like Patricia Wentworth and D.E. Stevenson (she is an all-time favorite!). My favorite book in June was Penny Plain by O. Douglas. I think O. Douglas is similar to Stevenson. Have you heard of her?
