Ms Helen, when you go out at night, to check on the chickens, be sure and TAKE YOUR PHONE with you. If you had anything happen outside, like tripping, etc and you couldn't get up, you'd be out there all night by yourself with no one checking on you. Just concerned about your safety. Enjoyed watching you today Miss Helen as always. I know you are a strong and independent woman. I am 73 and still do all the work around my house, have about an acre. I bought a Toro 22" battery powered self-propelled mower 2 years ago and love it. I did buy an extra battery too. Purchased mine from Home Depot, had it delivered. But please be careful, we live in the South and the heat/humidity is bad here...I live in the midlands of SC. If they are not too busy, perhaps one of your relatives can mow your grass for you. My Miss Helen, your chicken population has grown. Time to downsize Girl. No more chickens for Ms Helen. Just enough to enjoy and not have to work so hard and deal with stress. Plus, it’s not cheap to feed them. ❤

I am close in age and I say as long as your able to keep mowing yr own lawn then do it!! Good for u Hillen. Just remember when the time comes then you'll no when to turn the job to some one else...keep going girl !!!

@Maggiewarnock130, I go to Columbia SC, often. My daughter and my grandson love there. My youngest daughter lives in Charleston. My third daughter lives in Birmingham Alabama. SC, you can’t have any morels of my family. 😂. My grandson starts Clemson in a week. Be blessed, Joy

The butterfly on the flower was a moth. They usually fly during the nighttime and sleep during the day. That's likely why he didn't want to move.

Ms Helen, have you thought about decreasing the number of chickens you have. Are there folks at your church, or maybe your family, neighbors or others that would benefit and appreciate free Chickens and the eggs they produce? Its obvious you enjoy having chickens, but maybe not so many that the stress could affect your health...😢 Why do people kéep sending you eggs to hatch?? Cant they see what its doing to you? You're so strong, but everyone has limits...maybe having less to take care of means you can actually enjoy the "special ones" more. Blessings! 🙏

Tomato sandwichs are delicious Ms Helen they are saying coffee is good for you coffee is color water what's bad is the sugar and all the creamers and the sodas and fruit drinks are the sugar the sugar causes disease but you do need some water plain water ❤

That was an amazingly big moth on your flowers! Some of them get huge! It was beautiful for sure! Moths are pretty resilient and will stay still even if touched. Very cool that you had one right there! 😊

I was. 77 on thr 12 I’ve had my disabled grandson over for a few days he’s not been well he went home today to give my son and daughter in law a break I lost my mam on her ,87 birthday. You’re right about home grown tomatoes Ms Helen. They taste so much better than a store bought one which have a cardboard texture to them. You are so lucky to be eating some from your garden already. Here in Northern Ontario Canada the plants have just gone in the ground a couple of weeks ago. No fresh tomatoes for us till August. You made me laugh so hard imagining you looking like something from outer space to rescue the baby silky. 😂😂

God created all living things with at least one method of defense. The large colorful moth was trying to look like one of the flowers and be camouflaged or left alone.
