Hey all! The Fanny documentary will be out soon, and you will learn a lot more about us ... maybe, in a few months. Thank you Lenore Chinn for all you do, and also in case you didn't know, Jean had a stroke and still needs our help. www.gofundme.com/jean-millington-go Please donate what you can, write her a note, we gotta get her back on bass! Thanks so much. xx June
Hello June, my partner spotted your documentary in the tv listings last Friday evening, so I watched it on BBC4 and it was great to learn about your story. I was just trying to stream Fanny Walked the Earth on Amazon Music but it kept messing me around playing random tracks by other non-associated mainstream artists, so I came to your RU-vid channel and now find myself working through an auto generated 'mix' of your videos, both old and new. Lovely to see Jean playing with you here in your later years, given what you say and what I saw in the doc. Thanks for all the great music over the years, I still have so much of it to discover...x
I just found out about 'Fanny' a week ago and I've been hooked on them! They are one of the best bands I've ever heard in my life. I'm not very old, just 33 (almost 34) so I had no exposure to the group. I love listening to them and I was so happy to find this video :) thank you for uploading this.
A lot of people are just discovering them and are loving them so much! They were big in their heyday, but disbanded way too soon to catch on with the masses. They have done good in the years since and have led full and productive lives.
Same with me. I was listening to the Runaways and someone told me about the all girl band, Fanny, that was out before the Runaways, so I had to check them out. They are amazing. I have only known about them for a year or so. I love discovering new "older" bands. I was to young to be into the 70's bands during that time period. I am pretty much bored and uninspired by most of the new rock bands, so I had to start working my way back in time. I'm glad I did. Just too many great bands form that time period that I am just discovering and I am enjoying it so much.
Hey all! In case you didn't know, Jean had a stroke and needs our help. www.gofundme.com/jean-millington-go Please donate what you can, write her a note, we gotta get her back on bass! Thanks so much. xx June
I know that it's redundant but y'all should be in the rock and roll hall of fame you really should! I can think of some that are in there that I still scratch my head over. You were the real deal and you still are. I'm glad you and Jean are still recording together. ❤️ Much respect.
I've loved you two sisters since I was in High School! I also have been playing since I was 11. My sister as well! Love you two....bless you and I hope you recover quickly~!! God Speed!
The Fanny Hill album, 1972 is still one of my favorites. I bought it when it was released & still play it.One of those rare albums that every song really does stand out & you DO want to play all the tracks. And you DO know all the words. Great material, playing & signing by a truly under appreciated group.
I love these two people. They have always been awesome since I first heard them in the early 70s. I mean it's great that they paved the way and all of that but they are just good musicians, song writers and cool people who are legit. They should definitely be in Rock & Roll hall of fame.
Jean and June Millington is a half filipino amazing musicians and it was also surprising when i found out here that they were in the band called Fanny before time and it was noted that American all-female band from 60s-70s they were one of the first notable rock groups to be made up entirely of women. well, where ever you are now sisters and what ever you did now i just wanna say take care and Godbless to Jean and June. -cebu
Teto Dot yes just recently discovered Fanny. I don't know how I never heard of them before, I thought I had heard of everyone! They were such excellent musicians. Yes, half Filipino that's why they were so pretty! But more important, just good-hearted people.
Loved your music from the beginning, back in the 70's. And if I remember, you were part of Sacramento in your pass, went to school with JIM. You still have it.
I was Class of '77 and Into all sorts of music, especially Rock-n-Roll... So why have I not heard of these lady pioneers of rock until just recently..?! I feel cheated...
Thank you, i dream of a sister like you two ( mines so far away in another selfish universe) , each of you so inspiring to me as im a rock singer for long time, still trying ,can never stop! i just watched your band, fanny,as i learned about you today you all rocked amazing and of course, still are! , thank you. lovely song!
magnificent! I've been watching a much content as possible and I'm so happy to have become aware of Fanny and how impressive the band is. I fell in love with Alice and when she in interviewed with Bill Burr for the bands appearance on "F is for Family" Netflix series. Best Wishes Always! xo ya know!
AWESOME ! Thank you for allowing us to enjoy you in such a relaxed setting. This heightens my appreciation for your contribution to rock-n-roll. Graceful musicians who will share such a raw and personal performance are a true treasure !
Gary I shared your comments with June and she replied, "It was such a great time! Thank you for posting, and thank you for your comment Gary Johnson. xx"
Their was a Christian all girl rock band called RACHEL RACHEL they made 2 ALBUMS, They even did the song CARRY ON WAYWARD SON, their was THE RUNAWAYS also, an all girl rock band from the 1970s , JESUS LOVES YOU
Such a Beautiful Song-The Sisters have Aged Well -Still Gorges after all these years-Saw Fanny at Detroits Eastown Theater back in 71-Stooges should have opened for Fanny in my opinion-Keep it Rockin' Girls 🎸
That was beautiful! June's quite bossy, isn't she? Nothing wrong with being a bit headstrong, probably contributed to her living so long and still doing what she loves ;)
