I love how scents easily bring you back to a memory, sometimes they're stronger than your own memory! I find that all the time with perfume or cooking smells :) Great favourites Ingrid!!

Thank you, Laura!!! I've been keeping my skincare routine pretty simple and using the First Aid Beauty Face Cleanser religiously. Other than that, I've been using the Aveeno Positively Radiant Moisturizer SPF, Fresh Rose Hydrating Gel Eye Cream and a treatment at night like the Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate. :)

The reason why a smell reminds you of stuff is because your olfactory nerve goes directly to the smell cortex of the brain, located close to your limbic system. In the limbic system, there's the hippocampus, which is in charge of processing your memories. So when you are smelling something familiar, your brain automatically tries to connect it to your memories. The other senses have to go to the thalamus in order to be processed, so that's why smell is the only one that gives you that feeling.

I think that unscented antiperspirant is a good idea, that way it wont clash with your chosen fragrance. Just use a body spray/perfume to stay smelling lovely. Also, I'm definitely gonna give that brow gel a go. I have naturally sparse eyebrows and find it hard to fill them in without it looking overdone.

Yes! the thing that annoys me is when girls open makeup to test it out and I accidentally end up buying used makeup....sometimes i forget to make sure its not used.

The scent/memory thing can be a bit of a pain if you wear the same perfume every time you go on a night out and you've had a few hangovers. Puts you right off haha.

Loved it! But just one question: isn't deodorant the one which allows the skin to "breathe" so, you sweat, while the anti-perspirant clog your pores so you don't sweat at all? I'm a little confused about that :)

What's with all the mid-20 year old (and some 30 year olds!) on YT only reading young adult books? I know you have to appeal to your audience but I hope that all these ladies are expanding their worlds a bit off more off-screen. It's fine to enjoy some YA books but if you're 26 and it's all you read, I think that's a little sad.

Haven't tried the Revlon matte balms but that color is really pretty! I mention the original balm stain in my recent video which was the lip product addict tag. It's my favorite balm/stain.

I know what you mean about a scent taking you back. I recently retired from a 35 year hitch in the Army. We had a machine shop that I always enjoyed visiting, because the smells of the cutting fluids, and other oils that lubricated the equipment always reminded me of being in my grandfathers workshop down in his basement. I could just close my eyes and dream that we were down there together. I doubt if I subscribe but I just stumbled onto your channel through your viewer engagement video for creators. Hey, but when I need to find out what I need to wear for that special occasion, I'll drop in a browse around. Really, what choices does a 59 year old have, anyways! Take care and have a nice day!

I miss your vlogs, Ingrid. I've been a subscriber since 2010 (I was only 17 wow) and I feel like I cannot relate to or don't know you as well as I did before. This might sound creepy, but I miss hearing about your mom, your Thai background, Nugget, trips to various places, etc. I understand the level of privacy you prefer now b/c of what may have happened with past relationships. It got really repetitive. I would definitely recommend Lauren Oliver's other books, especially the Delirium series. I am also reading Panic by her and so far it has been very enjoyable.

It's not just you, it was really repetitive and the development was slow :( I had to force myself to finish it, but when I did it wasn't terrible.

If you like before I fall, you should read delirium. Its by the same author. I just finished it and it was AMAZING its a dystopian world where love is a disease and at 18 your "cured" however this girl, lena, meets a boy and...well just read it

Kdrsjc . She used to date another YTuber and I think the fact that their relationship/break-up was so public made things especially difficult for them, which might be why she is not putting too much of this relationship out there.

Ahhh....ok. Thanks, lol! I wasn't asking to get "the scoop" on her personal life because, like you pretty much said, if she's not putting it out there...then nobody needs to know her business. Some people are waaaay too nibby into others' personal lives, lol. I was just confused about that whole "RU-vidr" part because I kept seeing people mentioning it in the comments and had no clue what they were referring to...and I also had (and still have) no idea who her boyfriend is or was, let alone that he was another RU-vidr. So, now it makes sense to me, haha! 😊
