Here's a quick tour of our permaculture farm in June. We'll be focusing on the new small orchard, our greenhouse, and a tour of our silvopasture berms.
This tour doesn't show our sheep, chickens, ducks, and geese specifically but you'll see them in the background ;)
I'm also going to be taking a sabbatical from making videos to spend more time with my kids and taking care of the farm!

Yay thank you! It's many years of trial and error so it comes a little easier now. ;) I hope you have a great summer too!! :)

Thanks for the tour. And thanks for hiatus note, instead of just disappearing. See you in fall.

Yay thank you so much! I learned from last year that even with the best of intentions the summer is just too full to make lots of videos. :)

If you put your willow cuttings in some water and let them grow some roots they can be planted out in the dirt and the water can be used as a natural rooting agent on cuttings from other plants

I've heard that and haven't tried it yet, but it's a super helpful tip - thanks so much for sharing it!

Alfalfa eh? Amazing, that can be tough to grow.

Thanks! I think we got it going because we spread the seed and then forgot about it... if we were trying really hard, it wouldn't grow ;)

Not sure if you know. But the seeds from ANY plant in the brasica family can be used to make mustard at home. So if your brassicas go to seed even if you worry that they cross pollinated with other brassicas you can still let them flower for the pollinators then collect the seeds to use as a spice or to make mustard.

I love a lush garden. What is your growing season inside your greenhouse? Enjoy your time off!

Thank you! :) The growing season is about end of March to November without frost in the greenhouse... we made it to late December without frost last year too, but I'm not sure what we can count on and what's just luck! :)

@@waykeeperfarmandnerdery We are so reliant on the weather when growing food, aren't we. I'm getting closer to my greenhouse and am trying to plan what to plant.
