New Sub here. I'm a seasoned gardener having five decades of blooms under my belt. Your garden is lush and beautiful with a capital B! My gosh, you could stop traffic with your Eden climbing roses! I love how you've created different rooms, or dedicated areas, within your backyard. You make P. Allen Smith proud! I also love that your garden is packed full of blooms with no room for weeds! That's planning and planting SMART! In your fight again slugs/aphids and safety for your pets, create barriers that slugs avoid such as crushed eggshells, coffee grounds, wood ash, and copper strips. Also try googling, "companion planting to deter slugs." Some plants deter slugs, including those with strong smells, woody plants, and herbs. Calendula is a host plant for aphids, which helps keep them off other plants. Aphids eat leaves but leave Calendula blooms alone. Calendula is in the Marigold family. For bug infestations, you can also try organic Capt Jack's Slug & Bug killer. Laura from Garden Answer is a big fan of the Capt Jack brand. Hope I gave you some helpful hints you may not have tried yet.
Hi Rosemary My goodness, THANK YOU so much I am truly honored to have been complemented by someone with so much knowledge and so much experience in gardening🥰🌼🌸 I too love Captain Jack’s because it’s organic. I have tried coffee grounds and eggshells and these little slimy fellows are tough as nails lol I love to hear all the suggestions and and I could always try something different. I was told by my local nursery that it’s best to fertilize with slug killer once a week for three weeks therefore it kills two generations of slugs, so I’m gonna try that 😁 fingers crossed☺️ Have a beautiful day your comment was a true pleasure reading!💕 💚L🐝
I could live outside in your garden! It is heavenly. I am trying hard to do much the same but my layout isn't the same as yours. I love your dining area!!!
@@laurabeegardening I'm learning, I just posted a hummingbird at the feeder in my garden and attached music, so excited, I'll get there to the touring of my garden🍄
Hi Laura love love your garden it’s outstanding!! Where do you garden I’m also zone 10 in WPB Florida ,I’m curious because I don’t see some of thd plants that you havd in youf garden !!
Hi friend! Yes. We used conduit pipes which i sprayed painted black and attached them to the planters (which are brick) i used masonry screws to fasten the metal fasteners to the planter. We drilled hole on top and strung thru zip ties and attaching them with the cafe light cable. lol Hope this all my sense 😆 Btw HomeDepot sell them pretty inexpensive 😃 Thank you For watching my videos! I’m happy to hear that you’ve enjoyed my garden!💚💕 💚L🐝
Love love love your garden. Thank you for sharing, am in the same zone, and because of your channel I have a wish list of plants to buy. Starting with the Flamethrower redbud 😍. I have a question about the monstera, do you move it indoor in the winter?
Yay!!! The Flamethrower is AMAZING!!!!🥰 It will be the star of you garden!🥰 No I don’t bring them in because they’re under the gazebos🙂 Have a wonderful day! 💚L🐝
Beautiful! I love the rose of Sharon . What kind of fertilizer do you use ? Also where did you get the iron decor with candles in it sitting under the tiger eye maple tree ?
Beautiful garden Laura! 😍💕 I have a question for the Eden roses. Do you have one on each side of the arch, or is it just one going across? I recently bought one for my arbor, but I’m not sure if I should get one for the other side 😅
Hi Laura, I enjoyed your garden tour. Everything looks so beautiful, especially the Eden roses. I have a Flame Thrower redbud too and I absolutely love it! This is its 2nd season but it has not put on much growth. How long ago did you plant yours and when did you notice it “leap” in growth?
Hi friend Thank you for the compliment ☺️ Aren’t they the most gorgeous trees. I’m so glad you have one in your garden , this is my third year with it and I feel like this was the year of growth. it’s gigantic as you see in my video Have a beautiful day! 🌸☺️ 💚L🐝
hi its me again… lol how is your jasmin plant? i bought one a month ago in June and it is not bloming for me.. How often to you water yours? does is get any sun? must be a shad plant?
Hiii 😊😊 They’re doing well. Mine also has not flower since spring. I’ve read that in warmer climates they’re supposed to flower from early spring till September and if it’s not producing flowers to pinch them back for next year growth/flowers I have mine in a pot therefore the soil needs to be constantly moist but not too much.(soggy) I water more often since it’s in a pot. If you have yours in the ground you might not need to water everyday. Unless is really hot 😊 then give it more water. Ooh forgot fertilize in the beginning of the spring And they love full sun!!! 🌞 lol hopefully I made sense 😁 💚L🐝
Your garden is absolutely gorgeous! I love all the little details that you add to the garden and there’s a new plant I’ve never seen around every corner! I have the pink Eden rose and it is growing fast; this is her first year. Last year I had major slugs and snails problems all summer! This summer they are not so bad. But I always put out low shallow containers with beer and they catch them all at night time! Try it! Just empty them out before your dogs fine them😂
Thank you so much!!🥰🌸 Aren’t they climbing Eden so beautiful how exciting that yours are putting on so much growth!!🥰🌸🌸🌸 Thank you for the advice. I haven’t tried that yet… it’ll be happy hour for the slugs tonight 🍻😂 LOL Cheers🍻 💚L🐝
@@laurabeegardening you will catch SNAILS too! It’s like they are best friends and hang out together! 🤣Snails do a lot of damage to plants too but we just don’t see them! You’re going to love this method!🙌🏼
Hi Laura, First time watching your channel Beautiful garden, especially the rose arbors. Can’t you share where did you get those arbors and the names of those climbing roses. Thanks 🥰👍
Hi friend Absolutely I got the arbors from Armstrong Gardens on each side I put the climbing Edens. I fertilize them with rose tone by Espoma. Hope this helps so you could build your own arbor with beautiful roses 💕🌸🥰 💚L🐝
Gorgeous garden! Your roses 🌹 💜. I’m just getting into gardening…How many roses did you put at the base of your trellises? I am going to buy a trellis, and put it in my back yard so I pray 🙏 that the garden gods can give me the rose touch.
Thank you friend!🥰 I put one on each side of the trellis I’m sure your rose will provide you with an abundance of roses because you’re gonna give it a lot of TLC🌸☺️💕 Have a wonderful day! 💚L🐝
Hi Laura love love your garden it’s outstanding!! Where do you garden I’m also zone 10 in WPB Florida ,I’m curious because I don’t see some of thd plants that you havd in youf garden !!I also lovd lovd your arches ,can I ask u where did you get them ,thank you

What is the tall, slim evergreen behind you @minute 2:57? Also, what variety is the silver (Dusty Miller) @ minute 8:35? Those leaves are huge! Thanks.
Hi Laura ! Just found your beautiful gardening channel, your garden is amazing, I used to live in Carson Ca your area looks very similar to that , I didn’t know about you tube then but Wow what I could have done in my yard if I would have known! Lol probably not as amazing as yours but Wow ! I grew hydrangeas and the year I moved they started blooming, so I never got to really enjoy them , Now I live in Camp Verde Az , they don’t grow here! But I digress, we have amazingly beautiful other plants , I’m so loving everything you do, but I was wondering if you live close to Carson , you don’t have to say where you live but I’m curious? Thanks for showing your amazing garden it’s beautiful!!! Pam from Camp Verde Az
Hi Pam😀 Thank you!!!🥰 It must’ve been so hard to leave your hydrangeas behind without seeing them in their full glory!!🌸🌸 I’m in Orange County .☺️ Have a lovely week. 💗 💚L🐝
New subscriber love your roses I’m in 9b an hour ish from Oregon border. I’m going to try to eat and ROZES I struggle here with Hattery mildew and rest and a fifth but I want to grow them so bad any advice you can give your new subscriber. Thank you so much.
Hi Dee Thank you for subscribing to my channel 🥰 You could try using copper fungicide by Captain Jack’s and neem oil(both come in a spray bottle), use either alternating each one once a week. Spray in the evening to prevent from hurting the pollinators.🐝🐝🐝☺️ Hope this helps. 💚L🐝
