June sowing, growing and planting out in my Scottish garden

It's super busy with sowing and growing in the garden now that June has arrived. My monthly sowing and planting plan hasn't always gone to plan and I'm ahead on some things and behind on others so time to get to work sowing and growing. The greenhouse and garden are already bursting with vegetables and flowers so there's transplanting out to the raised beds to be done to make way for the next batch of seedlings and we're direct sowing a lot this month.
There's also an update on the Grow Along with Eli tomato growing experiment.

Same here Eli the slugs are a nightmare this year. They took all my first lot of Cosmos, all I had left was stalks and slime!! My tomatoes are doing ok but no flowers as yet, my Tumbling Toms, first time growing are very weak....but hey ho we live in hope lol. Happy gardening Eli.

Eli, I feel ya! Howling wind here in Northeast Nevada for weeks now. Went out today anyway to plant. Hi-desert 5a. Such a short growing season, I have to get on with it anyway. Learning to think differently when I'm planting, knowing the wind is continuous. (Maybe that's why my corn only grows two or three feet high. But even my knee high corn gets cobs!)

Yeah we have the same thing with trees, we struggle with trees in our garden, the rarely do much and always get burnt by the wind. You just have to adjust.

You just needs beer trap or two when planting seedlings in your garden. Those little slugs and snails die happy. Just make sure the traps are not too close to new seedlings.

Eli your greenhouse is looking very full and lush. And your weather! Oh those slugs and snails are so annoying. Poor Doris. I lost most of the seedlings I’d lovingly sown and nurtured for months, planted them outside and most have been eaten, unless they were in one of my tall pots. Wishing you a marvellous week 😊

I am on round two for my Pak Choi after the garden fleas destroyed the first planting attempt. I am spraying the leaves with a Neem oil solution to try to keep the fleas off of the plants. Will let you know the results. The fleas attacked my radishes as well but once the true leaves came in they no longer bother with them. I hope to one day learn self control with planting flowers. Always appreciate you showing a droopy plant from your greenhouse, there always seems to be one that I miss watering too. 😁
