LOL. I love how everyone who goes to Tracy's, thinks that Tracy is the dude cooking the crabs. I thought the same thing. When was this filmed? I was there mid June, and Salt was still closed, so it looks like we just missed eachother. I know all these places except Al Lupa and the Tea and Spice place. I liked Rookery, because it's one of the only places that's open before 10 AM. I can't believe you guys missed the iconic Pelmeni's. Which hotel did you guys stay at? I didn't know you guys did a series on Juneau. I'm interested to watch them now to see if we visited the same places. And I know that Chicken Ridge is nicknamed "Nob Hill", but I didn't know the whole town was nicknamed, "San Francisco of Alaska". But with the hills, colorful houses and Liberal LGBT culture, I'm not surprised.
@@RunTheAtlas Did you go to the 1st or 2nd location of Tracy’s? I’ve read the 2nd one has a better view. Also, is there a restaurant I should steer clear of? Thanks!
We went to the Tracy's Crab on the waterfront - 432 S Franklin St in Juneau. It's a beautiful location, very casual and classic. I honestly didn't have any bad food experiences in Juneau, I was surprised at how creative the food is and the amount of variety for such a small city.
@@RunTheAtlas hi again! I forgot to ask when I made my original comment. Any tips on parking around the Franklin St area? Are there parking garages or ample street parking? 3 days until I eat at Tracy’s!!
None of the great waterfront restaurants? All of Juneau's finest are on the water. That's just my opinion but as a chef who comes here two weeks a year for family I do like the Alaskan for cocktails but the Alaskan brewery is a block away and has dope food. Twisted fish also and both on the water
@@RunTheAtlas oh great thank you, cause we are thinking of going there for the weekend with my wife in the end of july, for 4 days, looks like we'll get to see everything in 4 days, cause when i looked up when is the king crab season it said october thru january, so i wasnt sure if king crab was there in the summer... let me ask you, tracys is pretty much the only place that serves king crab right? the best bang for your buck?
