I got to play this in 8th grade 2020... a bunch of kids were out sick but somehow the band managed to play through it... one of my favorite pieces to play!! It sounds so pretty and magical! The good times before covid lol
I wish my band was this good, all the people in it are just there for trips and attention and it sucks for the ones who actually try and I have a concert today playing this (grade 8) and I feel like quiting
Playing this tomorrow at Contest, wish me luck!!!!! I play 1st Trombone in this piece. This is probably the most fun i have ever had in band! (Finally, i hear this piece WHERE THE SAXOPHONES ACTUALLY ARTICULATE THEIR NOTES!!!!!!!!)
***** nah i do percussion i started learning music in sixth grade when i took chorus and it just stuck with me also it took the trumpet players about a week to learn i picked up the song pretty quick for my first year in band
I go to cockrill middle school (CMS) and we are playing this for honors band. I’m in 8th grade and also cockrill is one of the best bands in the state btw
I’m playing this song in band at my school, I’m a clarinetist and we divided the clarinet piece in three parts. C1 c2 c3 I’m c1 and we play that super high part. My fav song ever
Omg I'm playing this in 3 weeks and we sound very similar to these guys! Hopefully we'll be as good as them! But we only have 25 people in concert band
i remember when i played this song we were perfect, we didn't go to fast nor to slow. I play the flute, and the part for the solo of flutes was really easy.
Crystal Orange What do you play? Switching to clarinet for some songs is totally worth it, but for others it’s not.... sometimes I wish I was allowed to play sax (my secondary instrument) for some of our band songs because they get these really cool parts.
We played this in beginning band but we could never get the round at the end! One day we had to play this song, and a few others in horrible wind outside in front of tons of other kids at our school! Our pages would blow out and I ended up catching one with my feet! Needless to say, it was pretty bad.
I am in the clay middleschool wind ensemble from carmel indiana and we are having to play this piece because our schools lower band can't play the highschool grade music we can. I love this song when the band plays it in their video but there are a few flaws with tempo in the percussion that is fixed eventually
