Most other artists that are pretty famously known, maybe not all of them, but many have a completely different response than this. The exact opposite on fact. Im all the way from the Seychelles island, and Jamaica has always been a biiiig influence when it comes to the music culture, our patois is french based but we still try to use the jamaican style patois when we do english songs 👌🏿👌🏿 we love Jamaica 💪🏾🫶🏾 n to me Jamaican sound like they're singing when speaking their patois, just add the beat for real 😜👌🏿

To b fair, it's actually a huge Jamaican presence in parts of Canada. So a lot of terms and dialect u hear is a mix of that Patois. Same thing in the UK too
there’s loads of Jamaicans over here in the US too but our main influence is predominantly AAVE along with Gullah to certain levels and all American Accents mainly have a mixture of AAVE but also Gullah which both American dialects sound similar to Bahamian and Liberian accents which is interesting because they have their related share of historical connection.
