there will always be a debate on whos the great mlb is o fall time but seau was the best at getting to the running back for loss of yards. I never seen anyone do it like junior when it comes to that
Absolutely! Best tackler, perfect angles, tons of tackles for loss, so efficient with his reads and steps. Nothing wasted. As close to perfect middle linebacker play as anyone can get.
I went to Jefferson middle school in Oceanside, California and i remember seeing all the track records in his name in the boys locker room. He was super fast. I also met him playing pop warner football for Oceanside at a halftime Chargers game. He came up to all of us and gave us high 5s and all of that. I remember him being tall as hell as a little 6th grader like WOW.
@@ohk169 How sad is your life bro? You say I'm capping when everything I said is verifiable. His records are probably still there and I have pictures with him on the field at Qualcomm stadium.
A legend and a kind soul. A beast and beauty on the field. There are players that no matter the team you loved and JR was that guy. I’m R8RS fan but FK Spanos anyway for moving a team that belongs to those fans
Junior Seau was my cousin and this makes me sad. We have a signed rookie card by him that is so expensive now. We all miss him. He even wrote a note for us specifically. The Mauga family😭😭😭
They were actually bigger. Since rule changes and more passing players have gotten smaller and probably quicker. I remember a couple middle linebackers weighing 270 lbs if I'm not mistaken. Also, the strong safety position which really doesn't exist anymore. They weighed as much as many linebackers today
in basketball you get a whole group of white guys and then one black player changes everything in football you get a whole group of black guys and then one Samoan changes everything!!
Todd Christianson TE for Raiders hated JR AND ALWAYS MADE COMMENTS AS GAME ANYLIST OF CHARGER GAMES WOULD ALWAYS DEGRADE HIS PLAYS. Reasons why was in JR s first game he and Christianson got into a argument and JR GAVE A PUNCH ON A TACKLE ON CHRISTINSON.

@@isaiahphipps245 can’t agree , stat wise ppl say LT but the biggest game of them all LT couldn’t do with a Super Bowl caliber team for a few seasons , three HOF players on one squad and couldn’t get it done. No Ring or even a trip to the Super Bowl Seau on the other hand and the Chargers won a road championship game. LT’s team couldn’t win a home playoff game without Sproles let alone a road game. They had a way better team than Seau. I’m a charger fan like those of us who are willing to admit it. And I’ve been with this team since the dam 70’s. Seau did what Rivers couldn’t , Fouts couldn’t and LT didn’t. I feel you but in my mind Seau is the best Charger ever.
@@tarahuebel5594 I’m not sure you understand what dude had to do. He didn’t have a QB like Rivers a TE like Gates really he didn’t have a squad at all. His team beat a good Steeler team in Pittsburg. The Chargers with LT , Gates and Rivers couldn’t and didn’t get to the Super Bowl man. Seau is probably the only name folks even remember from that team. Maybe Humphries at least that’s all I can remember. We remember LT’s team like it was yesterday. I’m saying Seau did so much more for that team than any Charger in history of the franchise. The purpose of the game is to get to the Super Bowl and win. Stats and records are the leftovers man. Good to have and all that but ask LT if he’d trade all them stats for a shot in the super bowl what you think he’d say.

Uno de los mejores Jugadores en la historia de la NFL, y en la historia de los Chargers. Siempre será recordado por su entrega y por dejar su corazón en el Juego. Charger por siempre. Te recodaremos Junior
Seau was a relentless tackler and had a nose for the ball with the best of them! He wasn't a heavy hitter tho. Even tho he would and COULD crack you, but his highlights have never been of him laying guys out! He makes the play tho everytime!
Dude was a beast..glad they took Leading with the helmet out of the sport. It could've saved his life if put in sooner. Tragic suicide due to brain injury. I see these young kids glorify these hard hits..
The best mlb I seen play live, had a few players but never a dominant defense. He made by the book plays and he used instincts to make plays a coach couldn't design. Look at roster the yr chargers went to super bow, love Ray Lewis, Derrick Brooks, Keuchley, Bowman and Willis but Junior elevated avg guys to higher level where his team could compete - that's greatness. If he had a better gm, he would had a chip but Nfc was just loaded with heavy weight teams. You watch man like that growing up doing his very best at something he love, you can add that into yourself and what you do, unlike today when you watch sports.
