I need to thank you Rachel. Watching your videos are a highlight to my day and you almost always post a video a day! I absolutely love the stories you tell as you are crafting. You do make your audience feel like we are part of your life. I live in New Jersey, USA and am stuck at home working which usually means very long hours. My office is saying that we may not be going back into the office until summer of 2021 (I work for a very large company). So listening to you helps me stay inspired . I love the variety of things you show and the realism of your crafting. So I just wanted you to know how much your videos are appreciated. Thank you again. Got to get back to watching before I have to start work for the day 😄
Your master board is gorgeous and full of so many possibilities! The hinged index card pocket/tag thingamabob with window is definitely something I will enjoy making. You are an inspiration to us all, Rachel! 💜💜💜
I loved seeing this unfold. Not usually a lover of printed ephemera, preferring to create my own, however everything you’ve found surpassed the rest and I’m converted! Thank you Rachel for sharing these ❤️
Yeah!!!! I do not mind if it takes awhile. Show us the whole thing. Love the old book. Great idea for printing on the other side of paper, especially for envelopes. Your master board is lovely. 😊
Really beautiful papers and a great project you chose to make with them! I love things like that… so fun to be creative with someone else’s work every now and then. Fabulous job!
What fun, Rachel! Jarf’s kit is gorgeous! It will be so fun to watch you work on this journal! I hope you share much of it with all of us. The cover is so beautiful...just nothing like an old book! Love and hugs to you, dear friend! ❤️
Good morning ☀️ I was watching Gail this morning, and she wanted to hear about artistic inspiration growing up and now. So I told her my story. But my story in the journal world was with you. I was surfing u tube and came across you and lulu. It was years ago and you were just starting. You had gotten some happy mail and was almost crying with excitement. You were very humbling and you hooked me. Been a fan ever since. 💕. Her video opened up a lot of great memory. Just wanted you to know you were part of it 💕.
Thank you, Susan, for sharing your story with Rachel! You’ve made my heart so happy! This is exactly what I was hoping for when asking the question. Sharing the love and appreciation with one another. You made my day, my friend! Love and hugs to you and to Rachel. She inspires us all, doesn’t she? 😁❤️
You are so kind Susan!!! I am always so amazed and humbled as to how many kind and generous people there are out there. Thank you so much for sharing this story! Hugs Rachel
Roxy Creations it’s a great memory for me. Lulu was so young lol. I feel some of you are part of an awesome journaling family and proud to be part of it. 💕
Hi Rachel. I’ve gotten behind on your videos. Life got in the way. Love this video idea. Loved the story of LuLu and your Mother In Law. Always live your stories and your everyday life you share while creating. TFS! ❤️
Ahhh! I've had a really busy week so only just seen all the lovely videos I've missed! On the bright side I have a whole free day to binge watch the whole series 😊☺️. Yay! Thanks for sharing your beautiful project 😊
As always I love your videos. You are so much fun to watch and im always so inspired by you. Thank you for sharing and i hope to see lots more in regards to this project.
Love this❤️ I struggle with integrating these beautiful digitals into my own junk journal style. I have one of Jarfs kits printed out and I’m eager to see how this progresses. Thanks for all of your amazing inspiration as well as your humorous shares of your daily life as a foreigner living in Italy❤️
You do good business for Jarf Rachel. I've just added those 2 kits to my cart. I love your idea of hinging those three beautiful index cards together 🌺🌼🌸🌺🌸🌼🌼🌹
Oh me oh my.... I haven't had my Rachel fix in three days. Good grief, hurricanes! We still have no electricity, but I was able to charge my phone and laptop. I can't craft at the moment, but watching you will get me through. Funny your story about Lulu. When I was growing up I told my mom I couldn't wait to get old enough to pay bills. I watched her write checks and stamp envelopes to post and it just looked fun to me. I guess I had a paper fetish from an early age...lol. Little did I know paying bills isn't fun at all. 😂
Love the project!! I just recently bought this kit from Medivial Mirage & absolutely love it. Her kits are stunning. I’m so glad to hear Lulu is back at school. We are still doing virtual learning & my triplets are not a fan of it
Hahaha.... oh no, poor Lulu ( i am not surprised she threw a hissy.... i am sure nanna felt awful making all her work disappear... 😂😉) Yes Jarf's kits are just amazing, and your ideas are wonderful Rach... love the little booklet and frame pocket xox
OMGOSH that is a glorious kit! That little window pocket with index cards is beautiful as well. Great and funny story about your dear Lulu!🥰❤️ yikes on post office wait..I can guess which nationality.😝.
I love listening to your stories as you work and I can't imagine anyone telling you off about anything! my granddaughter who is 9 yrs old wants to know why we can't sound like you? we are from deep south Mississippi and she said she's going to ask her teacher to teach her to have an accent like yours! lol that should go over well!
Beautiful kit 😍. Poor lulu, my heart goes out. Those pens 😣. The same happened to me when I was studying. My whole writing assignment gone. Thank goodness I made a copy. TFS🤗
while you are giving tips, drinking coffee, having fun and chatting with the girls, *I* have been working my fingers to the gone (an old southern expression). And I thought about you all day -- because -- I'm almost done with the journals -- it's only been seven months !! -- but the No. 1 tip you gave me -- oh, dang it, I'm getting choked up -- I'm just a sentimental old woman, we'll both have to deal with it -- but you told me specifically -- of course you can do this -- learn the basics and imprint your own style -- you -- *YOU* -- taught me about the wonderful world of digis, which I thought were magical and only people who were tech savvy could use them -- you -- *YOU* -- also introduced me to some spectacular artists, as well as making your own artwork available -- I still go back to one of the first ones I purchased from you, it's a tag one -- nature tags, maybe? I print them out for my own personal use, and put them in journals and other items I gift to people -- and they're in these journals, as well as the new ones -- biological ones?? -- but I also bought your easter kit way after easter because you included this one fabulous blue page, and I use it all the time -- ha -- you taught me about hemp -- who knew? and straw paper and reintroduced me to embroidery, which I'm lousy at, which is fine -- I just like making french knots -- I haven't embroidered since I was a young girl and we embroidered on our jeans -- bell bottoms -- we were the "cool" girls -- ha -- but the tip I learned from you that I have used most of the day is this -- because I make them and then when they're all done, I sew around whatever needs sewing -- but to use grey thread -- and you are so right -- I have two colors, a dark, smoky grey, I guess and then a nice kind of misty grey, which is my favorite and is in my sewing machine -- I buy those huge spools made for -- I think you guys call them overlocking machines; we call them sergers -- but it really is perfect. Now, you don't have to share your tips; you could open a patreon channel -- but you don't -- you share so freely, and I believe that is why you are so successful, plus you are just so talented -- and so funny -- I still laugh about you shooting that guy the bird who was honking his horn at you -- and spiders in men's socks -- my life is so boring -- and I know first hand how hard it is to do videos -- and then figure out how to add photos and then upload to instagram, which our dog has an instagram page, I do not -- he even has followers -- he tells me: the ladies can't get enough of this, then smiles his little smile -- men ! (me rolling my eyes, and then sneaking him a treat!!). but seriously, one thing that has helped me with collage is having that last set of tags, and your other papers -- the quality is so good; they print beautifully -- the colors are so vibrant, and there's lots of blue and birdies -- how can it get any better ? big hugs, thanks for all you do -- we all really do appreciate you -- Patricia
I love the master board-as usual, great collage! I’ve got to check out this video you were talking about where you were teaching collage techniques. I didn’t get a notification about it. This kit is so gorgeous, and the little tab booklet you made was genius! 😘
Post Office drama, before the COVID, there are people in New York City that will spend hours with one postal clerk in order to get their passport. They will bring the whole family. The easy way is to get the passport application and fill it out at home for each person. Also go to neighborhood pharmacy for passport pictures. The cost is about $90 per person. Mail it and get it in 3 weeks. But no! They fill out the application right there and get also their picture taken. Plus expedite the forms (which they will receive in 3 weeks) Cost per person $350.00!! There is only 3 postal clerk at the post office. Wow. Love your Medieval Journal. I just bought the digitals.
Love this window envelope and index file to go inside! Adorable kit, as always, from Jarf! Cute story about Lulu and the disappearing writing! TFS the inspiration, Rachel! How is Sarah doing these days? I miss her videos and talents!
To anyone here who lives on the west coast affected by the horrible, horrible fires and in the gulf states the historic damages in some areas from Hurrican Sally -- I wish we could send that much-needed rain to end the fires. I live in Virginia. We stand with you. We know the pain of both of those events, and people who can help, such as power company employees and relief firefighters are headed there now -- on the news, they had a spokesperson from the Red Cross, and they asked for donations -- there are so many people who lost their homes, especially in Oregon. right now it's much too soon to know just what is needed, but the immediate need is housing -- which will probably be hotel/motels -- so we donated both to the red cross and to -- I think it was teh national spca -- I don't have the link -- they are going in and trying to find domestic animals who may have survived the fires, and get them medical treatment if necessary and get them reunited with their owners if possible -- also, the forestry service is setting up treatment facilities for wildlife which may be able to survive with proper medical attention -- we have amazon prime, so I wanted to send pet food with free shipping -- but -- because of the fires, they sent us a notice about not being able to fulfill shipping requests -- I got one from fedex, too -- You are all in our prayers -- Patricia
What a beautiful start! How many projects do you have at one time? I love the master board and would love to know how you use it. Thank you for sharing x
All my birthdays and Christmases together! Show as much of the process as you can , please, I hate thinking for myself. Oh, yes, on what weight of paper did you print Jarf’s kits? This is almost as if I’m watching you make my book.😀
Wow...so different to the usual kits...that is stunning and certainly getting added to my wish list...Rachel when you collage do you use only square and rectangle pieces rather than any curved or quirky shapes and also why do you never use distressing inks etc as a majority of others do, I must say it is refreshing to see ink free pieces lol ...just love your work, your board was great ....woah loving the booklet and I've been over to Jarfs and shes doing an amazing giveaway for subs ...its truly beautiful ..3 downloads to it which are all there and so I'm spreading the word for her ...so generous. Thanks for sending me there x
I guess i tend to make the shapes more regular. I don't distress as I use old book pages and enjoy the contrast between old and new. Thank you so much!
I can't wait to see where you go with this journal, it will be gorgeous I'm sure!! What kind of paper did you use to back the indexes with that you hinged and put inside the pocket? Thanks for your great inspiration every day!!
She sewed all summer! Paper time! No, Valerie, I’m joking with you. Rachel has an amazing range of skills. Her stitching is waking a sleeping dragon in me, too!
New to collage, how do I get my page to stay flat? It curls up on me, and so I put it under something heavy, to flatten it out, but as soon as I remove it from said heavy object, it starts to curl! Any suggestions?
Mine curl sometime but seem to flatten when they dry. Are you using golue stick or a wet glue? Wet glue will make it curl more. Put them under a heavy book. Thank you so much!
@@roxycreations679 thank you for your help. I use a glue stick, put my finished work under a heavy book. I think I might turn on my dehumidifier, it could be that the air is too moist maybe. I just wanted to say that I love watching your videos, I find them so inspiring and relaxing. Back in the 70's, when I was a little girl, my family lived in Ravenna, Italy, we are originally from Canada. We used to go sightseeing in San Marino. Anyways, have a wonderful day!
I was just wondering if you have a video from the past anywhere where maybe you introduce your daughter on camera? my Granddaughter would love to meet her. I am not sure how you spell her name but it sounds like your saying lou lou/lulu which was my childhood nick name
