I love how it looks with all the pages and whatnot showing from between the covers! Definitely a one-of-a-kind special journal Isn't it nice to have such artistic friends to send you little goodies and this is a great place to keep them all together.
I love how all the inside pages sticking out of the journal looks. It's like when you stick stuff into a book you're reading. It also is a tease that triggers anticipation & curiosity, wondering whats in the journal. Tfs. Tere
What a great journal! Tim Horton's donuts and coffee - yummy! What fun using what you have on hand, and incorporating things you love. Thanks for sharing!!
Debbie this looks like it was so much fun. At times we need to do more "fun" stuff with our journals. When I made my last journal using your "art Journaling" digital downloads, I had so much fun...unexpected fun. I think everyone should do that sometimes. Im usually doing vintage type of styles and when I did that journal I had so much fun. this journal reminds me somewhat of that. Thanks for helping us to sometimes just have fun! beautiful!!!
I like this one I made one for myself and it is not as good as yours but similar , I used a second hand binder and I love it and will probably make another one as well. TFS Hugs Nola
I love this - I'm trying to get myself to start making journals and hope that starting with that kind of style will get me going... also, hilariously, just when you mentioned Dixie going crazy, my two dogs were going really nuts and barking - for a moment I was disconcerted and thought - huh, she could hear my dogs over here?? :) Bless you and many thanks!
So much fun! I am saving things like this to either cut ephemera pieces or to make something like this eventually. Sometimes it takes time to even collect junk stuff. Lol.
Hi Debbie. Thank you so much for sharing your creations, I always get excited when I see emails from you! I am totally in love with making junk journals out of - right - junk! But I hesitate making them, as I just can't find ways to use them!!! Ideas?
I had some address books just laying in a drawer so I decided to alter them into junk journals along with some blank journal books that I have so I have been cleaning out drawers or places that I have put papers, cards, business cards so I have several junk journals started that I work on at different times so I watch videos like this for more ideas or ways to use what I have. Thanks
Debbie, I love this and am always saving snippets. As a matter of fact like you I am pretty random, and I am making a Snippets Journal! I make books for friends too, but they are NOT the signature loveliness that you make. But, I do so enjoy doing it...and I have boxes of saved randoms. I really love your style and all of your beautiful handiwork! Enjoyed seeing this treasure.
The actual construction of it took maybe an hour. Adding my notes, tags and other embellishments were added over the weeks whenever I had a few spare moments. Thank you for watching!
i enjoyed the flip through, i was wondering where you would journal if you wanted to, would you glue on papers or tuck in paper like letters we write for ourselves, or cards. tags
Thank you. What you saw here is how I'm using it..it's just to keep the notes, cards and such that have a special meaning for me. I'm glad you liked it!
EphemerasGarden Thanx. I was wondering since there are empty pages as well. I work in a law office so I make mine out of old file folders, and paper that's used to wrap reams of copy paper, then use them for smashing stuff and photos. And I've tried over a dozen flavors of Kit Kat from Japan, but not orange. :9 P.S. I'm LOVING the Anatomy of Paradise journal I bought from your Etsy shop. Only positive writings go in that because it's too beautiful for any negativity! Mahalo!
