It was so serendipitous that you are doing this small version Journal because lately I've been making some journals that are 4x6 and I just love it. I also want you to know how much I love junk Journal July so I really do appreciate all the hard work it takes for you to do it. And of course it is always okay for all of you RU-vidrs to take a Time out. Especially when you have a job in addition to doing the RU-vids. Just want you to know how very much it's appreciated

It’s so important for journalese and other creative content makers to have projects and spaces that are not for sharing. If we are only ever making with an eye to sharing it we end up censoring ourselves and losing our honesty and our creativity - it’s stifling, and both we and our work suffer. So glad you’re protecting that space for yourself ❤️💕

Welcome back, Meg! I've kept junk journal July going and am in my third month. I showed up to the page every day for July and August but have slowed down for Sept. I used JJ January prompts for August and am now using a prompt list from Barbara at 49 Dragonflies. Showing up to the page most days is wonderful for me. I love using all my supplies and the practice is far less demanding for me than writing journal entries everyday. Plus, looking back over the month at my creations makes me so happy! So glad I participated with you in July 😊

Sometimes we just need a break, then when we get back to it the creative process starts rolling again. I've been crocheting hats and booties to give away and paperclips for a swap group

Hi Meg, the little journal is lovely Meg, and as you mentioned, a few pages can be done in quick succession. I too was exhausted at the end of July but found that I missed the 'rush' of making a video every day and was twiddling my thumbs for the first few days of August. Lately I've been working on a mini art journal series which is very enjoyable, and as with your little journal, the pages come together quickly. Crochet is something I've never been able to conquer, apart from the standard squares, love your blanket, the colour combination is very pleasing. Cheers

MY daughter {teacher} and my granddaughter {student Jr. in HS} are traveling to several countries in Europe during spring break. I am making them each a travel journal to take with them to store memories and thoughts they might want to write down while traveling. t looks odd, but , I left several pages undone so they could do some pager their style or I'll do for them with what they bring back.

You've inspired me to get back and do more collage junk journaling Meg. I really like your choice of papers and flower embellishments that you work with. I've found a great old vintage book recently depicting 'flowers of Scotland' which I think will be great for my journals. Thanks for all your wonderful inspirations. I discover junk journal late in July from another RU-vidr. Your videos were short and creative and it inspired me to try things I’ve never done before which prompted me to go back and watch the entire month and I hope you do junk journal January because I will definitely prepare and be there for the daily videos. Lovely to see you back again Meg and to see you working in your journals again. After Junk Journal July I found myself overwhelmed by my scrap stash - so started collaging them onto cardboard cereal boxes to make make new pages for a gorgeous hand tooled leather little ring bound book that I brought years ago that's been sitting empty for decades. My idea was to use it for practising mixed media techniques and being the start of Spring here to carry that theme- so Ive just started that which is so exciting for me. I love how one project sews the seeds for the next.

I finally made my first junk journal after watching RU-vid videos for all of quarantine. That is a really small journal! Cute.

Love your journaling! I am working on four journals (for me & my sisters) we give each other harvest baskets and one of the items is always handmade 💕love your ideas , will incorporate into these journals 😊

I love your new little journal. I got really spoiled in junkjournaljuly. I loved it. I really enjoyed seeing what others were doing and the prompts really stretched me. I started my 2nd journal ever for JUNKJOURNAL September with Cassie at dust to ashes. I didn’t think I would make it until January. Lol. Thanks for this video, it’s such a treat. Hugs, treen 💕💕💕

You were missed! But taking breaks is SO SO important and I'm happy you did it. I also have a TN covers, in both regular and passport sizes, but it is so difficult to journal (especially writing) in this small size. After watching your video, I will give it another try!

I made a small journal for the project and found this less intimidating than my usual size. Inspired again by this video, so I am off to make another small journal. Thank you so much for sharing.

Thanks for the video and welcome back. I enjoy doing journals via prompts rather than just putting papers down. However doing a journal passport size might be better so I could used up my scraps. Thanks again for sharing

I, too, took a break after completing my Junk July Journal. I've been taking a lot of time to prepare my flower garden for fall and I've been doing quite a bit of reading. So glad to see this video! You've inspired me to begin another journal - love this size - easier to "tackle."

I do mostly art journaling however I do add some journaling here and there. Maybe on the back of a tag. I also have a tiny journal on a necklace but no journaling at all in that.

I've just got a passport sized journal so was interested to see how you created within the smaller space, I must look for your tutorial on how you made your small junk journal. Apart from my journaling i too am making a crochet blanket, i thought it was a good project for the autumn/winter.

Such a good size for me. I’ve tried bigger journals but struggle to fill them. I finished JJJuly which was extremely satisfying, and I love flicking through it for inspiration. So I’m def on board with this one and will be journalling along with you x (ps I’m also crocheting a snuggly stash buster lap blanket for winter!)

You are going to laugh, I’m still busy with JJJ, i was travelling in July, so only started the prompts in August and is now September, but loving the process and prompts. I’m also crocheting a rainbow blanket, making a giant granny square. I do love the pattern of your blanket. Thank you for your inspiration.

I've been working on some flip flop journals (inspired by Leslie @ 507 willow house journals) my creativity at the moment is making the journal but not creating in them myself idk 😐 hopefully I'm able to get back into mine but for now being able to make something for someone else is so fun and I rather enjoy it Thanks for sharing ☺️
