Thank you, Fiona. I adore your videos. Especially, TGB. Our daughter passed a year ago and her Favorite book when she was just a tot was The little kittens who lost their mittens. She memorized it and you would think she was actually reading it. I am going to make a journal with it as a memorial to her. Keep up the excellent work. 🌻😇🦋
LivingInFullEssence thank you for your lovely comment. I’m so sorry to hear of your very sad loss, still so recent and I’m sure, very raw. It will make a lovely memorial for her and I hope that you enjoy the process of making it.
Sorry for your loss, I am new as of today. But I saw your comment. I lost a child in 2005 and just became a Grandma. It never gets better but more bearable. For me I can see that seeing my daughter give birth and seeing her and her baby girl have filled part of that void. He is with us all as I am sure your daughter is. I am here if you ever need to talk 💕!
I enjoyed this video a lot. I have been making little golden journals for a few years but I got some great ideas from you, thanks for sharing.I will be watching tomorrow for sure.🇨🇦
Really enjoyed the tutorial. The best tip was joining the pages if they become separated. Now I can continue in a book that this happened to. Love the conversation throughout the tutorial. I have asked to join the FB group so that’s pending…..new subscriber here and happy to follow you on your crafting journey to create more projects, learn a few more tips and tricks along he way make new friends and have fun at the same time. 🤗🤗🤗
I’m going to be making my first Little Golden Book journal and so happy I have your video to help me! You and hubby are inspiration in many ways. Your detail instructions are so great for new makers. Blessings from Betty in Ohio USA!!
Hello Fiona, I am so glad I found you and your series of golden little books. As I have a few now and I didnt want to take away the story of the book. So this series is so right for me. I have just requested to join your fb group. Thank you so much for these videos explaining how to keep the pages in tack and in page order. xx
And thank you both for spending time with me . I don't have time this morning to watch all of #3 so I'm going to wait until my day off. I'm also going to find a LGB and get started, within a few days I hope to be at the point where you are ended w/ video #2.
@@MissPaintalot, Finally I've completed day 2. Complete with sewing :-) ....... I'm pretty proud of it. I only have another 30 minutes to play today, so I'm going to check out day 3 and see if I can get anything started.
These how to videos are just WONDERFUL!! Thank you so much!! I am a new sub and needed these step by step instructions (and you are super kind and fun to listen to as well!) for a baby journal and I found this series just in time.... fabulous. Thank you so much!! : )
I am a new subscriber & have yet to make a LGB Journal. I made it to assembling the covers and spine and until today didn’t like any of the many other options for what to do with the excess paper. I saw one similar where she added an extra piece of paper to that last piece you cut down and fold over. Lastly I saw where the one lady did a cat constintine fold as she called it and sewed it. But she still had to cut off some from each side!? So thank you I can now move forward, as my 1st grandchild turned 1 in August and I have been intimidated on this major part! I have always loved arts and crafts , but only discovered junk journals and to be honest I didn’t know why I saved pretty paper, or things to addd to a book like birthday cards, a zoo ticket, or any place we went that I have kept in a regular journal so when I did make her book I could add in dates with corresponding real ephemera from a place she visited. I have her hospital bracelet, 1st haircut snippet, so much. I got the LGB I am a unicorn 🦄 which is a newer one and it’s illustrations look much like the ballerina. I saw they have one for many animals ! Thanks you made this so much easier to follow. Also I just requested to join your Facebook group! Hugs from the Ohio State!💕
I just started journaling and came across your Golden Book series. I am binge watching it right now - on #2 - and then will go back and follow your easy-to-understand video when I get ready to make mine. I would love to get some of those little bottles for glue. Can you tell me where you purchased them? You and your husband are a joy to listen to. :-) Thank you for creating this series.
I’m glad you’re finding it helpful. The little bottles came from Amazon if I remember correctly. Thank you for watching and don’t forget to subscribe please 😀😀
Love these videos, I have watched lots over the past couple of years and I must say, this basic journal using Little Golden Books is just what I need. I started one recently and have got bogged down with a few things - you have answered a couple of my “how do I do this” moments, thank you so much. I can’t wait to see the next videos in this series. Well done! I have subscribed to your channel as well.
I just discovered you and I'm loving you! I just wish you hadn't made the pocket out of the page with the adorable picture on the back! I would have used that picture in my book so I had to close my eyes while you cut it up! Different strokes for different folks but it was terribly painful to watch you destroy that cute picture! But I love your book and that you have a way to keep the pages as whole as possible. I can tell I will become a great fan of your videos! 💖🌷💗
Here I am Miss P!! 😄 Going in the Way Back machine and I have SOOOO many questions. Which is not unusual-hello? it’s me. 😂 How do you get your stitching so straight? Why doesn’t your paper move back and forth with the motion? I can never figure out just how to hold whatever I’m sewing to stop that infernal jiggle. 🧐🧐🤨🤨🥰🥰
Hi Laura. Your machine shouldn’t be going backwards and forwards. It should only be going forwards. I have a brand new machine so that probably helps but I’ve been sewing for 51 years so I guess you could say I’ve had a lot of practice lol 🥰⭐️
@@MissPaintalot it’s not my machine it’s the paper as it feeds through the feed dog(? That doesn’t sound right). And it’s just a little back and forth but it’s ‘slippery’. Practice I need to practice more. 😃
Thank you so much for the tutorial. I am a beginner and am going to follow alone am from USA. Am gathering my materials however I want to ask in the 1st video you listed materials but I didn’t hear how much trim to get. You say a lot. Like how much 1 yd=36” or more than that? Thank you again such of lovely book.
Oh Sandra! I made that video a long time ago and I genuinely can’t remember how much trim I used. I’m so sorry. If I had to guess I’d say maybe a yard and a half. So sorry that I’m not able to help you 🌺⭐️🌺
Wonderful videos. I am a junk journaler but just tried the golden books. I'm in the US and cannot find the scoring roller you are using. Any links? Thank you.
Just found this tutorial for LGB, but unsure why you didn’t leave the 1/4 “ allowance left over? That way you could use it to sew in signature? Oh, I see, then it would hang over at edge??
I have to say, this isn’t a great way to show beginners how to do this. There are far simpler ways to make a journal out of a L.G.B. Without loosing any of the page. I am not a beginner and I found it very hard to follow.
