This was a very controversial album for the time. Also, there are lyrics in certain songs that poke fun of traditional blue's tropes. In the song "Strollin' he sings "I think I'll go see the seven sisters or the eight brothers of somebody". I recorded this from the vinyl version of Champion Jack Dupree's Blues from the Gutter album released in 1958. I used a Fluance RT82 turntable, a mixer, and Adobe Audition. The video was taken with my Nikon Z6II and edited in Adobe Premiere Pro. All the images are pages contained within the record. I love the paper that shows the lyrics in Japanese!
