I had the best time junkin with Kayla !! We shopped til we dropped !! But we laughed even more .😂😂 It took me the rest of the weekend to recover from the heat, walking all those yards and fields and climbing in and out of Allen’s truck about did me in !! But I would do it all again this weekend if we could find another sale. It was so much fun and the scenery was gorgeous. The back roads took us thru some beautiful areas . We were surprised by some of the prices but we still found some great deals. But the stories and memories we have from this adventure is the biggest treasure !!
This trip brought back a flood of precious memories of my mom & I going to events just like this❤️ over a 25 yr span. She is unable to walk very far anymore....but my oh my how we loved doing exactly as you both did here. These sales are the most fun. You get to meet some amazing folks along the way. Thank you both for sharing and dealing with the sweltering heat....so we could enjoy the trip vicariously with you❤️

My daughter and I have wanted to do the longest yard sale. We live in Michigan so we would be heading south on 127. It looks like so much fun. Maybe next year.
Mary, I live in MI also…we went for the first time in 2021. We spent Thurs, Fri, Sat and Sun heading south…but we skipped OH and did KY and TN. Then went to Gatlingburg/Pigeon Forge for a weeks vacation! It was a lot of fun, but HOT! You are very exhausted at the end of each day also!
You girls made the best loving memories that an Aunt and Niece could ever imagine together! Not only laughs, but years down the road, your hearts will be filled to the rim with warm memories. I love Aunt Penny’s old fan and absolutely loved your mirrors. 😊
I have a little bible like yours. My grandfather gave it to my uncle when he was going to the army for him to carry! It looks almost like yours with a metal cover! So made they were made to give to soldiers going to war!
We recently moved to KY from WI and had no idea about the Longest Yard Sale until we drove by a bunch of yard sales on Friday! Talk about a dream come true, lol. It was pouring rain, so didn't get a chance to stop at any. Boo! Will definitely be clearing my weekend next year!

I am in Upstate NY and it's been 93-100 here!! In NY!! We are sooooo hot and sticky ALL day long. I can't imagine how hot it is in Alabama and TN! I feel you! (New York is very, very humid and that's worse than the heat to be honest. I sat and watched the steam roll off my metal garage today.) So awful!! I can't wait for winter!!
Hey there! Great video and haul. I am from Gadsden, and usually drive through the sale but not this year. Enjoyed seeing your video. The bible with metal covers like that were given to soldiers to carry in their pockets when they went to war. I have heard stories where that metal plated bible was what kept a bullet from entering the chest and ultimately saving the soldiers life. I bet she had her husbands bible. That is a treasure you have!
Glad you got to come to our beautiful state of TN. Our roads are very curvy and hills but I absolutely love my state. Love the mirrors and iron stone but also the pickle jar. I hope to go to Alabama someday. Have a blessed week and bless your families

The best time to do the yard sale trips are in the FALL!!!! :-) Enjoyed your adventure. The best places of course in Tennessee are in my neck of the woods... here in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains below Gatlinburg. Love y'all!

Oh, my goodness! Ya'll covered a lot of miles in a very short time. My mom & I started in Gadsden on Thursday at noon & shopped until Saturday at dusk & only made it to Desoto State Park (we stayed in a cabin at the park each night). We filled up a small, enclosed trailer & 2 SUVs with treasures. We intended on making it to Mentone the last day, but there was just too much to see. Thanks for taking us along on your travels.
Wow y’all found tons. We skipped a lot. But after seeing several other peoples finds maybe we should have stuck to the smaller yard sales. This was our first time so it was a learning experience .
I love Chattanooga! Ruby Falls is worth seeing!! I collected that strawberry pattern including that pitcher,it has the bowl that goes with it! I still have it and my granddaughter wants it❣️
I would love to go on the yard sale tour, but I would absolutely melt. I don't know how y'all stood it. I'm so glad y'all made it back safe and got to share such a special time together. Great memories.

If you ever get to Ohio there are some really neat things on this end of 127...There are so many Thrift Stores and Antique Malls in Ohio .I am shue you would have a super good time.. Looks like you had a lot of fun. I would not be able to handle the heat. I was amazed of how much vintage items there was. I am sure prices were high with a lot of stuff.
Yes I was shocked at some of the prices. I was like people this is a yardsale !! But we did find some good prices and most would give you a better deal if you asked .

Me and my husband also went to the World’s Longest Yard Sale on Friday in Crossville Tn. We had not been in the past 3 or 4 years so I was really excited to go. We live in Knoxville so not to far of a drive. I bought a brass bell in the shape of a Victoria Lady, a small blue and white platter from England, brass candle holder, a set of Currier & Ives porcelain and silver plated coasters and some other small milk glass and China dishes. We had fun but also very hot. Would have loved to run in to you and Aunt Penny there. Maybe next year. Love your thrifting and seasonal home tours. Keep them coming.
Wow you did great to !! While we where is Crossville it came a storm so lots of the vendors covered their tables. We didn’t make it much further than there and turned around and started back home.

Well I’ll Be darned , I considered doin the “127 yard sales “ yrs ago(too Olde now)little disappointed there wasn’t more sales, and could of liked more prices,But considern HOW MUCH YOU TWO SUFFERED IN that HEAT and HOW MUCH FUN YOU HAD,it was Worth It, TFS , God Bless…. 🙏🏼
I have laughed and laughed! Y’all had a great trip! The heat is brutal for sure! I almost spit my coffee out when you said you were not going to wear that nasty orange😂😂😂😂. My mom and I went on the yard sale too. We started in Russell Springs, KY and went all the way to AL (Bit off way more then we could chew 😅). We even checked out The Rustique Relic and The Brass Bear. We’re already planning next years trip!

I did the 127 this year, too. Several of us RU-vidrs met up in Kentucky and shopped there together for 3 days.The others headed on into Tennessee, while I headed north into Ohio (where I'm from). There's a lot of vendors with retail prices and I do love all the pop-up flea markets. However, maybe some year I'll work on going to more of the family yard sales for the cheaper prices. I spent 5 days on the 127 and cold have spent 5 more.
