I love how you put your beads together and make it into a beautiful piece. I have sooo many beads as I thought I wanted to do just beaded jewelry. Now that I found my happy place in the junk journals, I have a use for all my beads. Thank you for a great tutorial once again. 😊
I love how a lot of us crafters have tried so many crafts over the years. We really can bring all that in to our journals. Love the paperclips, what an awesome idea! Tfs!
Margreth, fun video!! I love the idea of dangles on the spine of the journal, the page clip is great! In case there are viewers who don't have access to charms and beads, consider making tube beads out of scrap paper, book page, papers you add color to. Roll the paper around a pencil or other round stick, glue the paper at the end, then if you have them, add an eyelet to each end of the tube... :-)
Fijn weekend! Groetjes Maia
I love them! I like the idea of putting a leather or fabric base on the paper clip first. I have loads of lovely beads but not nearly as many charms as you have 🙂
Hi lovely lady, these are fantastic, love the three of them. The little silver thingys are called spacers. Love the materials, great way to start them off. You should raid your husbands tool box for a pair of fine nose pliers. I have a whole rack full of beads, spacers, pins etc. and yes all beads are from second hand stores, all washed in disinfectant and dried. You are a natural at anything you do. 👍🥰🌹
Wat een leuk idee. Ik heb nog veel kralen en bedels liggen en dit is een leuk idee om deze te gebruiken. Dank je voor de instructie. Een leuk idee als kerstcadeautje.
Those are adorable! Have you ever made dangles like you see some people have hanging from the closures on their glue bottles? Would love to see how those are made. Thank you for sharing this one! I also pick up old jewelry from thrift stores. The hunt for cool ones is so much fun!
These are so cute. I think it makes such a difference to do something like this with paper clips, other than just plain ones. Just looks a little more finished and personalized. And the leather/denim really helps them lay flat and look like they were made by a pro! Thanks for the inspiration! Tamara
Those are just so darn cute. I love them. I am going to try this but with pink, because my journal is with pink roses. Thank you for sharing and God Bless.💯💖😊👍
Hello Lovey. The loopy pins are called eye pins. The flat topped pins are head pins. I so enjoy watching your videos. Thank you for sharing. Blessings from Canada 🇨🇦
Love them. I have been making jewelry for around 35 years now. I have so many beads. I will be trying this idea for sure. I am always looking for new ideas to incorporate my love of beads into my love of paper. Thank you so much for sharing. (I also made a bead dangle for Art using your video idea you posted awhile back. Thanks for sharing that idea also.)
so pretty and you sure do have some awesome charms that worked so well together. glad to see the little jump rings didn't always want to cooperate! I have a very small batch of beads and charms and pins etc., wasn't sure i was going to be able to make dangles. you have to sometimes have the patience of Job! thanks for sharing, it was fun and encouraging! have a wonderful weekend!!
Thank you for inspiring me to deconstruct my broken jewelry and make some dangles. I love your denim paperclip the best I think but they are all very pretty. Happy creating.
They are called jump rings for a reason…every time I use them they escape from me 🙄 But now I will take the fight with them and try to do your dangles. Love them ❤
Love these. I get going on these and before I know it I have a box full lol! It's so addicting to make these 😁 But I haven't tried fabric or leather and I really like the looks of the ones you made 😍 I've never seen a watch charm, so cute! Great idea and lots of fun to make 👍❤️
Love your adventure! You have a pretty amazing collection of beads and charms for somebody who just dabbles in jewellery making! Love it and I’ve subscribed 🧡
Yep, beading is all like “Scuse me … get back here.” “Where ya goin?” “Hello!? WTH?!” “Awww &$#@!” 😂😂😂. It all goes downhill when things don’t work some days. Otherwise it’s all “Ooo!” “Whoa this is purdy!” “I love this!” Beautiful work girl! I’ve beaded for years and it’s all about the enjoyment of creating, not how you do it. Do you hunny. Thanks Margreth. They’re pretty adorable! ✨
Margaret I love this, I wish I had seen this a week ago I had to do two of these for a Swap and this would have been Perfect. Thank you for sharing this I'll have to go make some more 😊
I saved this to my library yesterday and I’m so glad I did! I’m new to your channel but I already subscribed half way through my first video! I look forward to future videos and when I have time going back into your archives. I love them all but the denim is my favorite, I love it so much! I will be replicating these for my own journals! Thank you so much for sharing your process with us!
Love this! I have never worked with beads before but will definately try this! I love all 3 of them! I'm looking for those huge paperclips! I think my paperclips are too small, so the hunt is on!
Hope this helps in the future but when using your eye pins(the head pins with a loop on the end), twist the loop the way you do a jump rings so that you do not weaken the metal causing it to break or open over time. This is not about right or wrong just my own personal experience. I am a strong believer in having fun. If you do not have a good time crafting, what is the point? Loving your videos. Thank you for putting out so much great information and sharing your creativity. You make beautiful things!
Hello Margreth, thank you for this video, I learned so much, I am a complete beginner when it comes to jewelry making and what is used for what. And the fact that you never claimed it was so easy a child could do it, made me a little nervous. But you put my fears to rest, I believe I can do it. Do you have a video on how to make your beautiful Dangle that you use for your art glitter glue? I just received my first bottle of glitter glue, after several attempts to buy it.Would love to honor her with something pretty. Carla {aka} from Arizona
I love the blue and white beads especially the Holland shoe... But, after watching this tedious work. It would give me a headache and it wouldn't be fun... But, you stated you got the items cheap from jewelry and took it apart. Not in the states... I'm not going to be doing any looped de loop... But, the are very pretty when they are finished... You are making me want to start doing this junk journaling... 💗
I've never ever seen how this was done. They all look fantastic but I don't think I'd ever have the patience to do this. Also in recent years my hands have gotten very shakey and my fingers have gotten very fumbly.
