Booooommmm NNKH babyyyyyy…Chris.. your a legend, just getting the job done, down with it… Your channel is the awesome… keep up the great work you do brother..
Love the airboat, memories of my buddy and I cruiz’n the Everglades in a 21 footer and stoppen to check out a gator that was longer than the boat. You will have a blast. Not so dead guy your friend for ever MIKE
I'm glad you poked a hole in the radiator because I was thinking it would probably fail while you were out having a good time and it's a good thing you had to change it so you didn't get stuck out on the water
Hey Chris! She is coming along real good. I am surprised that the porcelain center did not blow out of the spark plugs and that was an interesting display of the good plug compared to a misfiring plug. And yes good call on replacing the radiator, I was wondering how badly the inside of the cores were plugged. I am looking forward to see this out on the water. Thumbs UP man ! 👍
Have no interest in airboats, but I've watched it 3 times already. Learned so much and it was super fun to watch. Love you're 'lets just get to it ' approach. Keep it up
Love watching you restore these old builds, and the prop is something that I'd do, those lights are so bright, awesome video mate, 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🦘🦘🦘🦘Cheers from Melbourne Australia
I put Nilights on my tactor and my DR and I'm really impressed. They're bright, don't draw much power, and they can put up with a massive amount of vibration.
You can pickle galvanized metal with Vinagar or Galvaprep before painting and it will last a lot longer, and muriatic acid works very well for cleaning off rust...
Yes I appreciate the the in and outs even when you make mistakes and how you correct them that's what helps inspire us that are challenged and helps us to overcome and to keep on fixing something doing something and having something I've enjoyed the video I will definitely be a fan
Thanks man! Yeah it's hard to say no to that kind of thing because I'm definitely dumping quite a bit of time and some money into this boat. And it's not like I'll ever be able to sell this thing for how much money I put into it
@@NoNonsenseKnowHow wish i could enter your contest cause i really need them to put on camper, was gonna take my son camping for his birthday and they would be perfect..but i dont have Facebook or Instagram..dammit
Chris ! We ought to call you GOLDFINGER ! I thought Oldsmobiles were gold but a Cadillac engine blows them away , all day . You are a very hard worker and very passionate about achieving your goals . You have energy to spare and that’s what gets the job done . Congratulations on gaining a sponsor . I think they have found someone who uses their product religiously and will show honest review .
Hi Chris, John from across the pond just wanted to say I've got everyone I know onto your content as you tackle the shit we all wish we could find! Keep on making in my opinion the best content bar none and on my favourite link NNKH!
I was known for the habit of which I see in you Chris. ...........You apologize for 'no good' reason too much. I say that's bc you're a decent and humble soul that likes people, being human and loving the life you have been blessed to live.
Just wanted to say thanks for showing the blaster metal rescue. I just used it this weekend on a carter carb that had been rusted closed for many years. I was stunned to see how clean it was when I pulled it out after only 12hrs. Its freed up and looking like new. Love the videos. Thanks again!
Awesome work! my dad and grandfather both have 1954 Cadillacs both needing restoration I started watching your channel about three months ago because I love getting old stuff running as well! Your bass dumpster inspired me to drive out to Nevada from Cali with my gramps to pick up a pos free boat and today with the help of my old man we got the omc 351 Windsor fired up! It’s an awesome feeling, this week I’ll be rebuilding the carb to see if I can get the secondaries moving , trying to fix the cracked exhaust manifolds and depending on how far I get I might even toss some wood over the rotten floor fun time!! Nnkh for the win!!!
awesome video. for rust use distilled white vinegar. the 30% cleaning distilled white vinegar found at a home improvement center is best. rust removal through electrolysis works also.
Thanks man! Yeah it's definitely a nice thing because it allows for buying more tools and putting more money into some of these projects. Hopefully start doing some more giveaway stuff as well!
Can I just say your channel is so fun to watch! Really enjoy the content you work your butt off to make! Thanks for being honest and sharing the adventure!
Just found your channel and I am really enjoying your content. Can’t wait to see how the boat turns out. I think your video pacing is perfect. Enough detail to show what you are doing without becoming a how-to video. Keep up the great work.
I would have thought to mount those bleacher seats with a much longer carriage bolt that went all the way through but you did it a completely different way than even what you're suggested prior. I love how there's a hundred ways to skin a cat!
I definitely won't make money on this one! But luckily with the sponsor cards, that brings a little bit more sense to it. Otherwise this thing's a total money pit. I'm crossing my fingers the engine doesn't blow up within the first 10 minutes on the maiden voyage
If you pickle the galvanized metal (wipe it down with white vinegar) it promotes paint adhesion -- works pretty good -- great videos, keep up the good work !
I rehabbed an old boat a few years ago. Had to replace a lot of the transom, most of the boxes on the interior and new carpet. Painted camo. It was a fun project just as your is. Keep going.
I think that’s awesome not very many people these days use the term monkey wrench I’m 58 now when I was a young kid my grandparents and family members always called a crescent wrench a monkey wrench. Love what you doing I enjoy watching your videos.
You should try using electrolysis, using a battery charger for power, to clean the metal parts.Use washing soda and water. Works really well. Found the correct set up on another you tube channel. 24 hrs and the rust is pretty well gone.
I have found that using Electrolysis is the best way to get rid of rust on rusty parts! You should give it a try in your next video! I’m telling you, you will not be disappointed!!
I got to admit after part one I thought you where just gonna drop her in the water on 7 cylinders but already in part 2 went to stage three this is going to be a great build
Great progress. Can't wait to see what kind of trouble you get into when you get this thing in the water! I was SO relieved when you took the prop to a shop for machining. I didn't want to see you guys turned into smoothies when the out-of-balance prop came off. Then you dropped the bomb about the pitch. Who knew? Not me... I respect that you left that part in the vid. Love your stuff.
There will definitely be some trouble in shenanigans! Yeah totally socked about the prop. Oh well, Darren down at sensenich is giving us a great price on a two blade composite and a new adapter for the engine as well. Totally stoked to get it on
I have recently restumbed upon ur channel and seem to be addicted 😬love ur enthusiasm and the way u go about things reusing old bits etc keep up the great vids 👍love how u mix it all up as well top job👌😎
Man that’s a lot of bolts!! All stainless is a must on boats, I’ve used galvanized and chromium only having to replace in a few years. It’s looking real good 👍
Chris, I really enjoy your videos and I like the way you edit them to. You include all the details while cutting out all the fat . Also we’re practically neighbors which makes watching your channel even cooler! Keep up the good work
Hole saw tip with plastics(soft material), start the hole with the bit as per normal then switch drill to reverse and press as normal, cleaner hole and not so much mess. Thanks for the interesting vid.
Thanks man! And yeah definitely sweet about the sponsorship because that makes this hole endeavor a little bit more worth it than just dumping money into a boat. Hoping to do some more giveaways as well
As long as you get it liked up a drill bit will follow most holes. I probably would drill it halfway each side so any inconsistency meets in the middle.
Hi from uk chris👋👍 wow this machine has come so far in this episode 👌 great job man it looks superb in gold👍 hope you have some good fun with it once its complete and ripping 👌 thanks blaster for sponsorship on channel too great stuff and better to come👍 thanks for your time and be safe see you soon👍👋
You were talking about the painting of galvanized parts. Give the metal a good wipe with vinegar. It does something to the chemical process. This has made my paint jobs last a descant amount of time.
