Junkyard Life Project Bus: 1964 Ford B600 Part 1

Very cool Bus ! I was born in 64 and i have owned a 1964 ChrisCraft cabin Cruiser i restored and eventually sold plus currently i have a 1864 Sports car, and a Honda Motorcycle that was my Fathers

Saving these buses are great. Keep up the great work Kieth! We need good guys like you to rescue such good equipment from being cut up for scrap. The body is a Superior Pathfinder. It was a good bus. We need more good guys like you to rescue more buses from the scrap yard. In 1968, I went to a summer camp called Camp POCO and we normally did field trips and trips to different pools in cars. And first field trip the group did via a school bus was to the Ford plant and the bus that took the large group was an International Superior Pathfinder. Kudos to you for saving these pieces of our national heritage. Your good deed has gotten you a subscription form me. Keep it up!

Also seen at 2:02 is a 4-spoke steering wheel. Ford did install 4-spoke steering wheels on some of their buses. I rode a Ford B model Ward school bus with the 50/50 door that had a 4-spoke steering wheel.

I saw a bus just like this riding on the street while i was in a car then i immediately searched this up

I hope to see this backup in mobile.it looks like a prop from a horror movie first thing that came to my mind was ultimate creeper Van. ill never have the luxury of having something like this on the road and drivable. Those old 50s and 60s school buses make for a great camper. Heard stories of people taking the old 60 short buses and using them.i still hold out hope that I'll eventually be able to get my hands on an old GM band that's not rotted the death. Reminds me of the 72 Jimmy that I bought and put together with some relatives and drove for a few years. If I gave an exact description of what was left of the vehicle people would be questioning how do I even call that a vehicle lol and put it together with parts of various other vehicles weighing in first fields and properties think I drove the thing for around four years and used quite a chunk of it on half ton truck after that. Part of what made it possible was quite a bit of the Jimmy was actually not factory and was a series of aftermarket pieces that were still on it when I got it. As an example it had about half the stopping distance of what it would've had factory lol where it had lap belts this made using the brakes very interesting if you were familiar with the vehicle and took a little while to get used to lol. I'm sure there'll be a lot of people poking fun of that bus but it'll be nice to see it up in mobile.
