Junro Sandan | 順路 三段 

The designation of Junro (or 順路 in Japanese) literally translates as ‘ordinary path’. This is the third level ( 三段 ; sandan) training kata of a series of five developed by Tetsuhiko Asai (1935 - 2006) to ensure that the students would also develop lesser used striking techniques, stances, and spinning techniques. This third kata in the Junro training series teaches different striking techniques with uraken and empi. These are practiced in various ways, for example by striking from the inside, from the outside, horizontally, vertically, als well as in large and in small movements.
