This made me cry... 2 years ago we were leaving from a week at the park. We had a cabin. Visited Vero, the turtle hospital and took a trip on the boat up the Loxahatchee to see where "the wildman" lived. My husband told me that it would be like Jurassic Park where everything was "venomous". Wild boar, gators, deer, turtles, snakes and amazing birds". It was his 5th trip. My first. This was our last vacation together as he passed suddenly in cancer after a fast diagnosis that we never saw coming. I will never forget our glorious time there. I needed to see that today. It is an incredible place. Thank you.
@Chris Reed Thanks. I followed his directives and sold everything. I am now in St. Augustine which was our 5 year plan. I am waiting for my kids to visit from the west coast and I will be taking them there. I am doing ok. Healing and grateful that he showed me how beautiful life can be 967 miles south. I love all the springs videos and will be making plans to start a new adventure. Your videos are tremendous.
I live like 2 hours away from Jonathan Dickerson State Park the last time when I was there was like 20 years ago. I see they really modernized it. Looks a lot better now than I used to be

Tom, this may be one of your best! Exceptional work. You're really upping the ante with your drone piloting, and not just the drone shots, either -- things like the framing you used at 3:18 are exceptional. I like the way you use maps to show the viewer what you're describing and seeing. That's a very unusual beachfront for Florida! In fact, I don't think I've ever seen that much rock anywhere in the state. Finally, yeah -- we're digging the new hat. 😎 That may be the first time we've seen you appear in one of your own videos.

Oh wow to see the drone footage of this area is amazing@ We bought our catamaran by Sebastian/Micco and drove down the ICW to Fort Lauderdale. I distinctly remember this area because we had a friend from here and I remember that lighthouse!!

Beautiful drone footage! This is 30 minutes north of us. Whenever we want a quick getaway we go here as we aren’t full timers. The beaches in Jupiter and Juno are the best in south FL!
@@CampTravelExplore still have to edit Juno. I won't lie I felt like we were in the Caribbean it was so beautiful! Have you guys been to Jenson yet. Was really pretty just not as clear as Juno. My poor husband almost had a heart attack because I kept trying to go further out snorkeling and he thought I was going to get snatched up by a bullshark🙂
Born and raised here. You should have seen how it was before it became a tourist destination. True paradise wild and free. Still know all the back trails to get from one side of town to the other without ever hitting a paved rd. Goes right through JD park to the beach on bridge rd. (Which you should have gone to. Gorgeous) and all the way out to lake Okeechobee.
Hi there, Great footage. I enjoy all your videos. I live a short distance from here and just wanted to correct you on the location of Jonathan Dickinson State Park. It ‘s actually located just north of Jupiter in Martin County, between Hobe Sound & Tequesta.

Thanks dude. Last time was our first time there- not to camp but just for the day. Took one of the Jon Boats with a motor up the Loxahatchee. Was amazing. Like jurassic park. Can’t wait to go back and explore more. Gotta check out Coral Cove beach- looks cool. Keep on having fun!! 🤙
We tried to rent one ourselves to check out the Loxahatchee but they were all shut down because of covid, but its in our plans on a return trip!! Thanks for checking the video out!!!
Love the hat.. they need to change that animals at play sign to have more realistic representation. It needs to say animals at survival. Baby animals are the only ones that play. Big animals do whatever it takes to survive, including the eating of tourists if they try to play with them.
Just up the road in Hobe Sound, you can get a taste of the local color and a trip back in time at "Harry and the Natives" restaurant and bar. Check their website, on the weekends they used to have free entertainment! Excellent!
@@CampTravelExplore we almost got 2 at Ron Jons that are similar. I honestly prefer those they aren't as hot as ball caps. Totally missed the shot with your wife now I gotta watch again.

@@CampTravelExplore I know its so close to each other. I couldn't help but point out all the Hobe Sound signs in the video. Even Hobe Mountain lol. Jupiter already has a lot to offer. Living in Hobe Sound, its our main park.
Thank You so much! They don't allow dogs on the beaches I showed, but there is a specific dog beach there in Jupiter I just can't remember the name of it, but I remember they had one nearby!
This park wouldn't even exist is it wasn't for Vince"trapper"Nelson. He settled way upriver and lived off gators and other wild animals in a compound he constructed himself. He owned over 900 acres and most of where the park is today. Why would you not mention this fascinating man that made this park possible is beyond me. There are several books that documented his incredible life. The park offers pontoon boat rides up to his compound, which now, is mostly depleted.
