I TURNED ON THE TV AND SOME PLAYER JUST HAD THE PUCK AT THE MANTINEL - HE WAS VERY STRONG HANDLING THE PUCK, WITH BRILLIANT READING OF THE GAME... I SAW - HE PLAYS SIMILAR STYLE LIKE ME AND I WOULD LIKE HIM TO MY TEAM. HOWEVER, THEN I FOUND THAT HE'S ONLY SEVENTEEN AND I UNDERSTANDED THAT I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO CHANCE BECAUSE HE WILL PLAY IN A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT LEAGUE THAN THE CZECH EXTRALIGA. THAT WAS THE FIRST TIME HE CAUGHT MY ATTENTION. I LOOKED AT HIM AND I UNDERSTOOD HE PLAYS LIKE ME. JURAJ IS INVENTIVE, PLAYFUL AND HAS AN UNUSUALLY HIGH HOCKEY IQ. And really - Juraj is like a small child in a man's body - he loves hockey and people. He reminds me of the Brazilian soccer player Ronaldinho (from FC Barcelona 2003-2008) - he enjoys every second on the playing field and even if something goes wrong, he doesn't lose his smile and keeps going... Juraj & Filip - they've known each other since childhood, that's why they're so familiar - we've known them like this for several years - they get along on and off the ice. They played together in the same line with very talented Dalibor Dvorský (born 2005 = next year DRAFT) in the National team of Slovakia...
I admit that I wanted Shane wright at first like most people, but when they picked slaf I told myself to just trust that they made the right call, and this video really shows that he is a great person and has a good character and it seems like they made the right choice, so let’s he what he does on the ice.
Slafkovsky & Mesar ... both guys are humble but they are confident on the ice which is the best thing for a professional athete. Wright lacks these qualities ... that boy has an ego similar just like Josh Ho-Sang. Does anyone still remember him?

I was stoked when we made this pick, yes Wright was the safe pick but jurajs ceiling is much higher, on top of the fact that he had very good numbers if you can get passed his Liga stats he did great in u18 and u20 on top of the fact that we'll over half his games were played against adults. The kid has a great personality too if you're a habs fan and you don't like slaf you haven't been paying attention. A Slaf-suzuki-caufield line will be a force to be reckoned with some day.
