Bring back Chris! It’s pretty sweet to see a toy photography setup, but the old videos had so much production value. Interviews with the toy designers showed why certain items were chosen, etc.
@@MATTDALOR1ANOne huge flaw however with the old beyond the gates, they don’t even tell the full story, and it’s not really true. If a figure is really bad, they say how great it is.. and they seem to know so in their newer beyond the gates, they have people that worked on the films to talk instead. Which is why? I don’t wanna make Mattel sound dodgy but it’s kinda true.
Always love seeing Ted's repaints and photography and his photo setup blended fantastically with this new JP 93 set. Gotta say, the '93 Classic Collection continues to deliver. The amalgamation of callbacks to the original toys makes this a great collector item, and the set has a ton of play value for younger fans as well.
Not to say that this video is bad, none of that, is pretty amazing to show how to take those photos. But if you combine this, with interviews from creators and some introduction from you Chris, that's another level! Come back! 😊
I didn't truly realize it till now but the bike seems to be roughly based on the Evil Raiders Strike cycle with the green and orange striping and launcher on the side but with a missile in it instead of the claw but they put the claw on the other side.
Enjoyed seeing Ted featured in this one, and looking forward to seeing what other creators are featured in future episodes! Love the concept of a Creator series which brings more people into the show, but it feels bittersweet given the great job the Outpost team did with Series 1-3.
I can’t imagine Dennis ever wearing that and riding a motorcycle! 😹 I’m surprised with the choice in character that they didn’t choose to pair it with a dilophosaurus.
its possible they hadn't thought this line would go further as they did release the dilophosaurus with the first wave of stuff , the puffy body armour aside I think this is a great looking nedry more based on the Seires 2 colours
I’m glad that raptor doesn’t look so underwhelming like frm the first blurry leaks. Some claw paint and a good dark wash would make this guy pop really well!
@@mspears_bobobuddytheseniorcat It's a reference to the Kenner action figure back in the day funnily depicting Nedry as a buff adventurer. It's also why he has a gas mask here.
@@mspears_bobobuddytheseniorcat NOTHING about these '93 throwback toys are movie accurate. That's the entire point! They are supposed to be a nod to the wacky, sometimes absurdly ridiculous toys produced by Kenner in the 1990s. There have already been a large number of movie accurate toys produced by Mattel if that's what you're looking for. Accuracy is not at all what the '93 Classic line is aiming for.

'93 Classic Nedry is really bizarre. I love the reuse of the Chase Bike from the Battle Damage Baryonyx Breakout and the Owen, Blue, and Yangchuanosaurus 3 Pack, though. Yet, I can't help but notice that seems akin to the JP Series II Evil Raiders Strike Cycle, while "sleeveless" Nedry looks so jacked up like Evil Raider "Skinner" but isn't. Am I right? The Raptor, however, in the promotional pictures look almost radically different in paint scheme from the South Korean Toy Safety Board pics of in-hand product. As those gave off more of a JP: Dinosaurs or Walmart Exclusive JP3: Dinosaur Tracking Set, type of design. This version shows much more clearly and beautifully, looks great! Certainly gives me a JP3 Raptor Alpha type of paint scheme, but I do wish we could get the hand claws and toe claws painted. That said, I love the paint all down the tail on this Raptor. Plus that added Nedry wrist articulation is certainly welcomed, because he'll need that to drive the bike and hold weapons. Keep up the good work and lets get a '93 Classic Ellie Sattler with Juvenile Ankylosaurus or Young Triceratops.👊😎🍻
I would love to see more dinosaurs from the Classic 93 line with the rubber skin like the Utahraptor, the Firebeak Quetzalcoatlus, and the one that most fans would love to see get released with the Dane treatment as the Red Rex and one that along with the Dominion Male version has been highly requested by the fans, the Demon Carnotaurus. I certainly would love to see a revival of Dr Snare with a baby Demon Carno since it wound be an awesome throw back to the Evil Raiders. Or at the very least Roland Tempo designed to look like Dr Snare.
I miss the Chris / The Outpost team. They were great. I have absolutely nothing against Ted or giving other creators a shot, but it's so odd replacing what clearly worked. Anyways good job! The set is nice and buff Nedry is hilarious!
Beautiful, I’m looking forward to seeing the Hammond collection Suchomimus and Yutyrannus because I love the designs plus put them with normal painted eyes.
This looks really nice, but isn't it about time the raptor sculpt gets an update? This is almost the exact same one we've had since 2018. I get the whole "don't fix what isn't broken" thing but come on, I don't want 30 versions of this same guy.
If you’re emulating Kenner, why not bring in the Jeep and Explorer with appropriate missile firing gimmicks into the 93 Collection packaging? Ellie and others on retro cardbacks? Fun line to collect for sure! Hope it lasts beyond Nedry.
Dino-rific! Hope more new Jurassic World dinosaur figures will come, like the Beipiaosaurus, Raptorex, Nyctosaurus, & Glacialisaurus figures for example! And hope that the Compsognathus & Microceratus figures will be featured in the Hammond Collection sooner or later! Buffers & Bravoceratops!🦕🦖
Super happy that Ted had an opportunity to showcase his awesome toy photography skills here, but wow, this new format and production quality is an embarrassing drop from the recent seasons. Why does the multi billion-dollar Jurassic franchise have to spare expense constantly? Bring back Chris and Outpost please. That was clearly a win for fans and this franchise!
Since 2024 is the 30th anniversary of the Kenner wave 2, I strongly suggest attempting to revive the Demon Carnotaurus since it’s been heavily requested by the fans. But not just once, three times. (1) - a Classic 93 pack like this but with a baby Carnotaurus could be included with a retro Evil Raiders style figure like Dr Snare or Roland Tempo inspired by Dr Snare (2) - a Classic 93 Target exclusive rubber figure of the Demon Carnotaurus similar to last year’s Red Rex Last but not least, and the one I’ve been wanting the most which they can easily do since they still have the molds of the last figure…. (3) - Hammond Collection Jurassic World Dominion Male Demon Carnotaurus I’m pretty sure most fans would be in favor of seeing all 3 of these get released in 2024/2025.
No offense to this guy, but what happened to Chris? I loved his energy and you could tell that he really loved Jurassic Park, like it was a life long passion of his. You could feel it come through the screen!
Do you not remember the toys from the 90s that had nothing to do with anything depicted in the movie? That’s what these are playing off of. We’ve already gotten tons of film accurate stuff from Mattel. Now they are having a little fun.
I have an idea for the hammond collection make the jurassic world aptosaurus. But make it the size of the dino rivals amargosaurus unlike it's oversized model for the legacy collection.
Why did the 90s Ford explorer from Kenner have a missile launcher in the back of it? These 93 tributes are going for maximum cheese like the 90s toys. The entire goal of these is to be as wacky and as far from film accurate as possible.
It's more like you don't understand what the point of this toy is. It's part of the "'93 Classic" collection which is meant to pay tribute to the fun wackiness and general silliness of the 1990's Kenner line of toys that were released in conjunction with the original film. Those toys are widely remembered for most of them being nothing even close to film accurate, with a higher emphasis being put on play value over film accuracy. A lot of them were equipped with ridiculous accessories such as net launchers, grappling hooks, missile cannons and other doohickeys that had nothing at all to do with anything seen in the film. If you are looking for film accuracy, there have already been like 4 other Nedry figures that depict him exactly as he appeared in the film. This particular toy isn't aiming for accuracy at all. In fact, I think the goal of whoever designed it was for it to be as over the top and absurd as possible. They are trying to capture the spirit of the '90s toys.
How is Nedry muscular? I thought he was overweight like in the movie. Guess they wanted to pretend that it didn’t exist and just make the toy feel like his a collectible action figure. Right?
No, you're missing the point. This is meant to evoke the silliness of the 1990s Kenner toys which are remembered for being nothing even close to film accurate. This is a throwback to those. There have already been a number of film accurate Nedry figures produced. The goal of this particular toy was to be as far from accurate as possible, much like the 1990s Kenner figure.
Because they already did Ian Malcolm in this series. Do you not even follow the line? These are supposed to be throwbacks to the 1990s Kenner toys which were known for being ridiculous and nowhere near accurate to the film.
