True this is a sad movie probably the most emotional of the series. Seeing all the Dinosaurs suffer and die on the island and then again on estate was tough. Then when Maise opens the door for them it's such a relief. Had me crying especially because some of these dinosaurs are from the first movie. I love how you said "this deeper than a motherfucker" when Maise said they are like her.

That was perfect timing when blue started barking and drogu started barking too at the end he was talking to Blue!! I love the new films, Dominion was good too. This is a great franchise.

And also that dinosaur you thought was a Spinosaurus is actually a Baryonyx, and the horned carnivore is the Carnotaurus! Fun Fact: The fight between the Carnotaurus and the Sinoceratops was originally going to be a rematch of the Spinosaurus and T. Rex fight and the T. Rex, that would be Rexy (the OG T. Rex) would win the fight, putting an end to the debate of which dinosaur is the king, or in this case, queen of the franchise.

Hey JL...the grandfather is James Cromwell. He was the prison Warden in "The Green Mile" & the corrupt police captain in "L.A. Confidential". He's a terrific character actor & also an Animal Welfare activist. And speaking of animals you'd love him as the kindly farmer in "Babe". "Babe" was a big hit with adults as well as kids in 1995 & would be very much worth your time. I know that not everyone liked this movie, but i enjoyed it very much, and saw this with my parents. Facts you didn't know about the movie: The opening scene where the T.Rex chases the mercenary to the helicopter was the alternative ending to the first JURASSIC PARK, where the T.Rex was going after Alan Grant. Grant gets inside the helicopter, safe and sound, until the Rex grabs hold of the helicopter skid, Grant gets a flare gun and shoots the dinosaur in the mouth, where it roars in pain and let's go. The helicopter flies back to the mainland. The Brachiosaurus we see on the dock, before its consumed by smoke and ash is the same one from 1993. The Brachiosaurus dying is also supposed to represent the death of the island itself. The volcano, Mount Sibo, was an active volcano in the original novel. The eruption is based on the original ending from the novel, where the Costa Rican Government bombs the island with Napalm, killing all the dinosaurs to prevent them from escaping. This is the first JURASSIC PARK movie to have a post credits scene. It was filmed in Hawaii and Pinewood Studios, London England, under the fake title Ancient Futures. Daniella Pineda's character, Zia Rodriguez, is supposed to be the first openly gay character in the Jurassic Park Franchise, but this was cut for timing. It was revealed in a deleted scene that Zia was discharged after her service in the Marines, having come out a year earlier. This can be found in the novelization. Composer Michael Giacchino was heavily influenced by Bernard Hermann growing up, and wanted the score to be epic, Gothic, and mesmerizing. Chris Pratt came up with the idea of Owen wanting to have a normal life without getting into any crazy adventures, until Claire convinces him to save Blue from extinction. The sounds of Blue are that of Penguns, done at high pitch, the Stygimoloch sounds are that of a Daschund and a Camel, the sounds of the Indoraptor are that of a Chihuahua, lion, pig, cougar, and a dental drill. The sounds of the Brachiosaurus are that whales, elephants, and donkeys, all done at low pitch. This was the first Jurassic Park movie to be filmed in 2:35:1 anamorphic widescreen as JURASSIC WORLD was filmed in 2:00:1 format, and the original Jurassic Park Trilogy were filmed in 1:85:1 widescreen. A deleted scene showed that the Indoraptor had a sibling, with a light color, very similar to the Indominus, and like the Indominus, the Indoraptor killed its sibling. It made $1.3 billion dollars at the box office, against a $432 million dollar budget. Yes, you heard that, $432 million dollars.

Check out the Battle at Big Rock short before the next movie. Probably the best Jurassic media since the original movie.

“We came and left the park with a brontosaurus. That’s a full circle for your ass” Damn I love all the Jurassic Park movies and never noticed that my mind is blown what an amazing observation.

While the majority including WatchMojo say Nedry’s death was the most satisfying and the number #1 death in the Jurassic Park franchise, to me I personally think Wheatley and Eli Mills were the most satisfying deaths out of all the human villains in the Jurassic Park/Jurassic World Series. Think about it, the former darted Owen and left him to die in the Isla Nubar volcanic eruption and since he was a Dinosaur Game Hunter taking each tooth of each Dinosaur as a trophy, you feel bad for those dinosaurs that had to endure the tooth removal from Wheatley, so seeing him meet his end at the hands of the Indoraptor was satisfying to watch as the hunter himself became the hunted. As for Eli Mills, he was just another version of Peter Ludlow but much more selfish, manipulative, greedy, and unredeemable and just like Ludlow, he want to take the dinosaurs from the island and take them to the mainland to a sanctuary, only that like Ludlow he wants to bring the Dinosaurs to the mainland and sees them as profit (Ludlow: bringing the Dinosaurs for an attraction in San Diego; Mills: Bringing the Dinosaurs to the Lockwood estate for an auction just to continue further genetic research). Not to mention he murdered Lockwood after he found out on Mills illegal activities and I was grateful to see Rexy eat Mills for all the despicable things he has done and comes full circle that both Ludlow and Mills were devoured by a T.Rex.

Underrated of this trilogy. The darkest too. If you noticed the flipped car from the first film, before it got burned by the lava.

Although, film is set 3 years after _Jurassic World_ surprisingly the film’s opening scene with the mercenaries taking the remains of the Indominus Rex at the abandoned Jurassic World theme park is actually set a couple of months (5-6 months at most) after _Jurassic World_ which was later confirmed through the show _Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous_ in the Season 3 episode, "Whatever It Takes"

I can't recommend enough that when it's time to watch the next installment, you watch the "Extended Edition." There are a LOT of working parts in the last film, and it brings a much needed sense of cohesion. : )

Speaking of skeletons in the house. It's a heated debated topic about how some skeletons nearly completely perfectly intact are bought and sold to private collectors and sit in like a bunker or a house like this when they could be at museums and further studied, even advance our study of dinosaurs/fossils. Edit: also when skeletons/fossils are discovered on property people would rather keep than give to a museum

Those dinos had been mentioned as being in the park for a minute now, but this was the first time they actually showed one on-screen before.. Not a Spino tho, that one Spinosaurus in JP3 was apparently the only one of its kind.. I see why you thought that tho, it's the long narrow crocodile-looking snout that both the Baryonyx & Spinosaurus seem to share..

The sad thing is that brachiosaurus is also the first dinosaur we ever saw in Jurassic Park one. It's the first one Dr. Grant and Elie and Ian saw, it was the first dinosaur ever seen and now in this one it shows it dying. So, it is sad.

Great reaction/commentary to Fallen Kingdom & yeah when I saw this in the theaters I literally did cried at the Brachiosaurus scene as that's the same dinosaur from the first Jurassic Park movie. However when you get to Dominion pls watch the extended cut of the movie, as mentioned b4 in a past comment back in June it'll makes sense. Nothing against the theater version as it's a good decent watch but the Extended Cut of Jurassic World: Dominion is way better as it fills in the missing gaps. Also congrats on the 50k subs 🤘🎉

I like how in the very last shot it looks like Blue is at the outskirts of the suburban neighborhood from ET and Poltergeist. Spielberg didn't direct this but his spirit was in that shot. For as much as this movie does wrong, it does a whole lot right. The death of Isla Nublar is tragic and the visual of the Brachiosaurus dying in the Pyroclastic flow is as perfect as it is tragic. I was actually sobbing in the theater when it happened. The dinosaurs getting released on the mainland and the rest of the world is the franchise finally making good on the themes of the first and second books. They stumble with Dominion and as much of a Jurassic Stan as I am I can acknowledge that they made more mistakes than they did things right. Love your Reactions and the rest of the EOM family.
