Can we all agree that Michael Giacchino should take over for all franchises when John Williams retires. He's the only composer that can recapture the magic
I was wearing an OG Jurassic Park T-shirt last weekend and at a local car garage a young boy saw it, pointed and said “hey cool, Jurassic Wor...hey no it says Park, what’s that?” It made me feel glad to have experienced the original back in the 90’s on the big screen when originally released 😊
That kids just dumb because the new movies clearly reference and tie into the Park films and the parents should be smart enough to give home the context. You don’t just watch Force Awakens without knowing about the original trilogy
While JW is geared to a new generation of dino-goers, the scores for the films is something I have to really admire that really struck me with the same awe, wonder, excitement, terror, and emotion that I felt with JP by John Williams and Don Davis. Glad I still chose to watch these films as a young adult and a long time Jurassic fan since I was a little boy.
actually to me it is like a retelling of the original and at the same time a continuation...hence even the music sends that message to me, reminding of the original themes, yet still having a more vibrant, maybe even modern faster paced tone.
Same, I grew up with the original trilogy from a very young age. People have opinions about the quality of the movies but the sound track has always been amazing. I'm aware there are issues with the movies but I've always loved them and probably will continue to do so.
Even though the new Jurassic World films are scored by Michale, we can’t deny the original score master, John Williams himself. He has created the most and wonderful soundtracks ever. Every piece of his music has a story to tell and that is why it’s so wonderful. From Jaw, to Indiana, to Star Wars, and many more films, thanks to Mr.Williams, we have been inspired by his great artistic skills to create such a master piece.
After watching Dominion and hearing more of this tune a bit here and there, I love it even more! My favorite soundtrack of all time is the original Jurassic Park and The Lost World theme, but now I have a new appreciation of this beautiful tune! 🦖🦕😻🎶❤️
The gradual buildup of memories and snapshots of the original film comes to a climax at 4:32 literally taking your breath away and make your heart skip a beat then you break into tears. So awesome.
Im stuck at home with Covid right now. I watched Jurassic World and Fallen Kingdom today. Something about the music from these movies relaxes me and I'm a hard rock fan. Thank you for sharing.
Okay but, HTTYD (Flying Test), Transformers (Arrival to Earth), Kung Fu Panda (Oogway Ascends), Avengers Endgame (Portals) and Jurassic World (Nine to Survival Job) always make me feel like a little fucking kid on a cinema watching superheroes, dragons and dinosaurs fighting each other.
The feeling of hearing this for the first time in 2015 will never be beaten, to me it represents the triumphant return of my favorite childhood franchise
I saw this movie in theaters with my son and this was the equivalent to his generation seeing Jurassic Park for the first time with the amazing music. He loved it and still loves it as a teen
there's something about dinosaurs that i can't shake. I'm a tween but still am in awe with these huge creatures that could've walked the same land. Drank from the same waters. I always imagine myself at Jurassic world or park, seeing these reptiles. Dinosaurs are a fantasy to me, but what separates them with other fantasies is that it existed. There were creatures as big and fierce as heck. And i put all my thanks to those who have helped create the Jurassic franchise and once again lighted my love for dinosaurs.
I was hoping someone would have made a compilation of this theme! It's probably my favorite movie theme. It appears in a few more tracks but I can see editing all of them in could be hard. Thank you for making this. I'm glad I discovered it!
I really like the new theme even though it's very short. Actually I like it better than the original theme Doesn't mean I don't like the ones composed by John Williams, that is. The combination of the old and new theme in one of the Fallen Kingdom's track "At Jurassic World's End" is very splendid and touching though
The JP franchise died with th island in fallen kingdom.. my childhood gone, the feelings I had wiped away along with the dinosaurs we grew to love. Yes they are just films... but for so many of us we were allowed to walk with these creatures again. The memories remain.. like DNA encased in amber.. the music will always be the gateway to the beautiful world that is JURASSIC PARK. Life found a way
For me, this is the same intensity of jurassic park theme. The first movie of jurassic saga is the best, but the two theme is very emotional and contemplative! Great job!
Even now, I can’t forget how stressful it felt to watch Owen and Claire look on that field of dead and dying Apatosaurs, and to hear the music swelling at the same time was magnificent!!
It's not a bad idea the point of the original book was to show humanity It's flaws irl incubating a dinosaur would take centuries but it could be done if people wanted to
Imagine just u relax after a hard day on the couch and u hear at the TV that a jurassic park its opening u look at videos and photos and u hear welcome....to jurassic park!
Reminder. Jurassic world 2015 is the last time the films had their soundtrack recorded at the Sony MGM stage in LA. John Williams recorded most of his scores at Sony, it having a very warm and old-school sound. For reasons I don't know, the sessions got moved over to Abbey Road 1 in London for Fallen Kingdom. It's brighter, wider and more reverberant than Sony. A very different sound. To understand the sound of the Sony stage, think Indiana Jones or E:T. For Abbey Road 1, think Star Wars prequels or Avengers Infinity War/Endgame. You'll notice these differences if you pay attention to the acoustics. Jurassic World's soundtrack sounds like the previous films because it's the same room and with some of the same players like Randy Kerber. Randy played the piano and keyboard for the Jurassic park films, if you hear a piano in Jurassic Park, it's Randy. If you hear a Piano in Jurassic world, it's also Randy at the keys. I don't think the shift is to be blamed on Giacchino, who seems to prefer American stages like Eastwood, Fox and Sony. Whoever decided to move scoring stage can be theorised at length but what remains fact is that the sound of the franchise fundamentally changed and I believe it hasn't been for the better.
I don’t know what it is but I like this better than the original theme…. Don’t misconstrue me saying it’s not good or that this is better, internet, but this just makes me feel a way I can’t describe that just captures the sense of insignificance, small stature in the way the characters probably feel in the movies next to the Dino’s. It captivated an appreciation for the beauty of being alive…. It’s quite majestic, magical, humbling .
My one complaint about JW:Dominion is they didn’t play this theme louder and prouder over the final sequence of *spoiler* the dinosaurs and modern animals learning to live together.
The first JP movie I watched was Jurassic Park 3 even though most people didn't like I still love the movie and after watching JP3 I learned of all the other films I still watch them over and over again even in 2022 and I can't wait for Jurassic World Dominion it looks great
I thought only John Williams was able to capture the grandeur and awesomeness of dinosaurs, but Michael Giacchino has gone one better with this beautiful and epic score.
Saludos
that is very debateble i mean Jurassic Park shows the awe and wonder as we were experiancing it the for first time same for Jurassic World but in a new a light as Hammonds dream has been fullfiled and is brought to reality
