Last year's final I agree, "MissedMarc" was a horrible choice but this year I feel the best option won. Jurgis actually did great in the final performance but the reality is, last years "I cant go on" was a slightly superior entry with better choreography and still didnt go far. I think this slow and great song by Ieva could turn out to do great if people are still in the same mindset from last year when Portugal won.... My biggest disappointment was Paula which got worst with every performance and that chair breaking thing was just beyond dumb :/
It depends on how you look. If you want to compare, ok: Jurgis was nothing like last years Swedish performance, the only similarity is that they dressed elegant aswell, but nothing else. If you look at Ieva's song - it's a typical eurovision love song in english. Last year Portugal won because it was such a beatiful song and also his story was touching. But if he had sang his song in english, I do not think it would have been as great and maybe even wouldn't have won the Eurovision. That's why Jurgis was the best option out of all this year 🌟
I know why he didn"t win- because the contest was in Kaunas,where Ieva lives- the jury gave Jurgis 12 points and Ieva - 10 points, but Jurgis received (officially) around 5000 telephone votes and Ieva - ,apr.20 000 votes, thius jury could mir do anything, and this is the silly side of this contest- itin Žalgiris arena there were more people than 20 000, so only a small per cent of them was necessary to win, that is ridiculous
