I grew up in the South East so I've visited Waterford City many times but never stayed in the Ard Ri hotel. It was always so prominent towering over the city. What was the hotel like when it was open? Any particular memories people here have of the hotel?
Savage video and music, so sad to see waterford most iconic hotel get this bad so many great memories from the 90s here, all gone forever now, went up for a look recently so fucking destroyed it will be demolished soon I reckon
What a shame. I stayed in this hotel in the early 90's when it was part of the Jury group. Had a fantastic time. It really was a top class hotel with stunning views of Waterford City. What went wrong?
God I've been up there recently, It's changed so much since this video, All the buildings at the back are demolished, same with the pool. There's also no way in anymore so nobody knows what remains.

Really is a shame, I worked there a few times, my parents were married there, had my Debs there. It's boarded up now. Next time it will see the light of day, it will be demolished. My memory of the place is the scene at 3:46. Great visuals and music choice.
I had a job there over the winter when it was empty, just keeping the boiler going and doing some small repairs. I ended up losing it and trying to kill my wife and son. All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy
This poor hotel now looks like Chernobyl after the nuclear accident, just utter devastation. I remember attending Hunt balls in the Ard Ri back in the day, good memories, seams like a lifetime ago now. Sad to see the place in this state, most likely will have to be demolished.
This is absolutely disgrace and it so disgusting to see a beautiful hotel go to this it seems to be the same everywhere in this country our government needs to hang there heads in shame let hope the person that bought it turns it a around
