Jussi Björling sings "Prayer of Thanksgiving" 

I miss those simpler days and years that were so blessed by the Almighty God...

Gotta share this every Thanksgiving. I hear Bjoerling’s voice ringing like a bell and I do believe in miracles. Have a great Thanksgiving.

I'm from Sweden. I am and many other, I suppose, are so glad that the American people appreciated Jussi's singing so much. Thanks to, for example Firestone's TV-show and the Met, he became famous after many broadcasting shows and apperances on the Met, we now have so many recordings with his voice. This video and for example Sanctus I had never heared before. Thanks USA and uploaders.

He sing this beautiful Adam song in Swedish, but it doesn't matter - I believe you know the words? It's his voice that make it so beautiful together with this beautiful song and ´music arrangement. If you want to sing watch bjorling's' shoulders and mouth. So relaxed and easy. See how his shoulders move easily vertically when he breathes from his diaphragm. You will also notice his bottom jaw does not retract towards his neck but he does have his lower teeth in front of his upper ones. Watching the soprano yank on great Jussi's sleeve to keep him from leaving too soon is worth the video! Watch carefully, at the end.

Jussy was perhaps the best tenor of his time. Such beautiful voice. Too bad that playing a christian movie, didn't help him to overcome his personal problems.
