I miss those simpler days and years that were so blessed by the Almighty God...

Just great. The man never oversings. For a tenor, he is very modest.

I'm from Sweden. I am and many other, I suppose, are so glad that the American people appreciated Jussi's singing so much. Thanks to, for example Firestone's TV-show and the Met, he became famous after many broadcasting shows and apperances on the Met, we now have so many recordings with his voice. This video and for example Sanctus I had never heared before. Thanks USA and uploaders.

@petereuropa Jussi's singing was incomparable. He was the absolute best and will never be equalled. I come from South Africa originally and he was very popular there too. He actually sang there too! Bravo Jussi Bjorling!

This video touched my heart, not only because of Jussi's wonderful voice, but also becuase of the message of fraternity and solidarity, a time when the USA was a great place to live.

A great place to live if you weren't, say, African-American or gay.

How lucky were those chosen to sing with God the Father! Their ears must have been ringing for a week! Thank you for posting this! So touching and heartfelt!

@petelovesbevsills Yes, agree. And why not listen to 'O Helga Natt - Jussi Björling' now and this Christmas? He sing this beautiful Adam song in Swedish, but it doesn't matter - I believe you know the words? It's his voice that make it so beautiful together with this beautiful song and ´music arrangement. Although it's four weeks to Christmas. Merry Christmas South Africa.

If you want to sing watch bjorling's' shoulders and mouth. So relaxed and easy. See how his shoulders move easily vertically when he breathes from his diaphragm. You will also notice his bottom jaw does not retract towards his neck but he does have his lower teeth in front of his upper ones. If you want further instruction Google Jussi Bjorling vocal technique.

Watching the soprano yank on great Jussi's sleeve to keep him from leaving too soon is worth the video! Watch carefully, at the end.

Of the tenors from the past Bjorling had the best voice. Better than Caruso or Pavorotti!

Jussy was perhaps the best tenor of his time. Such beautiful voice. Too bad that playing a christian movie, didn't help him to overcome his personal problems.

Yes, it's very striking how still he is. Apparently no effort at all.

At least he was Scandinavian; Jussi Bjørling was Swedish, Kristen Flagstad was Norwegian.
