Seriously though! No bass, Ledisi's mic is crazy soft, the backup singer's(can't remember her name right this second) mic is way up and the keyboard is over EVERYONE! I'd be really pissed at the sound guy.
most of those people in the audience are probably really young and it was probably the first time they heard anyone scat. they didnt know what was going on. if she wanted to go old school on them, she should have sung "its raining men". lol!
I hate it when the sound is not set up right or when the band drowns the lead singer. Ledisi still smashed it though. She is super professional and seasoned.

Ledisi had to change music to get 5% of their attention. They wouldn't have a clue what scatting is either. They just don't recieve blacks in that community that well. Only a few of the older whites because of the BBC thing (sorry to be brutally honest). You don't have to believe my foolishness, look for yourself. Watch their events. Heck, watch them at a club, on the streets at a party.. anywhere! You will see it if you pay attention to the details. The blacks they accept have to act like them and date ONLY them. And even they don't get the respect they deserve. But I knew Ledisi wasn't going to be recieved at a gay event in San Francisco! Lmaoooo. I mean, REALLY!!! Jussie Smollett is not a truly gifted singer. Yes his mic was awful but so where his vocals. He is OK at best. I can go down to any local church and find at least a handful of the singers who will give Jussie a run for his money.
