Beautiful BIG bowl, with an outstanding pattern!! Love those natural tones, you finish in!! Your skill and the confidence you turn with are very evident in your work!! Great video Tanya!
Good morning we have a bunch of fog here today. So your turning helped brighten the start of my day. We like your bowl have imperfections, it’s best to embrace them. You never know what you’ll find, your bowl turned out beautiful. Keep up the great work and enjoy the day.
Good morning. That's a bowl full of character. I appreciate the real time turning, I learn so much while watching you turn. My first bowl I turned was sassafras and I love the grain and the smell. Have a great day and God Bless!
Thank you so much, Laurie! That makes me feel good to know I am helping🤗 Sassafras is such an amazing wood. I can't wait to get more. I saved some of the shavings just to smell...I am such a weirdo 🙃 🤪 Have a blessed weekend! Take care, Tanya 🤗
Lovely bowl Tanya!!! I too remember Sassafras tea as a kid. It was my mom's favorite so we had it a lot. I've never turned Sassafras but it looks like a beautiful wood to turn. Your work is amazing, as usual. Thanks! 👍🏾
Thank you so much, Greg! Then you know how yummy sassafras tea is. I think you would like to turn it. It also smells like the tea when it is steeping. I really appreciate you liking my work. Have a blessed weekend! Take care, Tanya 🤗
Beautiful bowl and turning sassafras is great as it smells wonderful and it turns great! As far as the pleasant odor I love to turn sassafras, camphor and aromatic cedar. You did a fine jiob on the bowl and sass always has some great grain character that stands out. If you burn a wood heater, especially in the shop, hang onto those shaving and mix them in with the fire and open the door. Smells the shop up nicely!
Thank you so much, George! Darn, I burnt them in my firepit but did enjoy the smell of it burning. Camphor is one of my favorite as well. It makes your shop smell for days. Have a blessed weekend! Take care, Tanya 🤗

Thank you so much, Nik! Black Locust sounds like fun. I can't recall turning that before. It's hard to keep up on all the wood...lol! I love farm work. It is so rewarding. Have a blessed weekend! Take care, Tanya 🤗
Well Mrs. B. Another great looking bowl. Like the into..not a perfect piece of wood but lets see what we can do with it… every wood tuner who watch’s this will nod in agreement. Keep safe.C.
Great looking bowl Tanya. Looks like it cut pretty smoothly with the gouge. I received a phone call from the handsome man that occasionally turns on your channel. Can't wait for the mail to show up. Have a great weekend !!!
Thank you so much, John! It did cut beautifully. That handsome man is correct. You should receive it on Saturday. 🤗 Have a blessed weekend! Take care, Tanya 🤗
I’ve never turned Sassafras before but it is a beautiful wood. As always to you do wonderful work. Now that you have used the Rikon for a bit, would love to see you do a video review of it. Keep up the great work Tanya.
Thank you so much, Jeff! You will definitely have to get some. I am going to talk to my buddy Dan and see if he can get me more. I will do a review on it. I think that would make for an interesting video. Have a blessed weekend! Take care, Tanya 🤗
Hi 👋, Tanya, That was a Beautiful looking 👀, Bowl, He is watching over you, I had my smelly vision on, but all I can smell was my cooking it was delicious, 😂 . The grain in the bottom of the bowl reminds me of Ash , I hope your new website site all works out for you both, All the best for the future , hope you both have a great weekend, stay safe, don’t get too sassy, 🍷, , over the past few weeks I have started to do some wood turning again, I turned 2 small bowls first, then I took the bowl 😂 by its horns, face plate, outboard, 80c x 45n x 17c , and turned a large fruit bowl, it’s still seems to be a bit damp, so I’m going to leave it for a few more weeks, then finish it off, and see what I can get in the way of finishing product, I wish you both all the best for the future. Look forward to seeing you next Thursday with your next lovely project., 😂 . Phil from the moulin France.
Thank you so much, Phil! I promise not to get too sassy....lol! It reminded me of Ash as well. It is awesome that you started turning again. I would love to see your work. Beautiful bowl. Love the Sassafras grain. If you can ever get some Sycamore bowls made that would also be assume. Quatersawn Sycamore resembles Lacewood in it's grain pattern.
