What pains me the most is we see Christina here from ten years ago, still young, with no idea what's about to happen, and then we have Kurt and Sam, both older, no smiles, the sad reminiscence of a person who couldn't be here today.

You can see the pain on Sam’s face as he sung his part. Seeing him look much older, while Christina is forever young... it really puts into perspective that life is really too short. It’s horrible that Christina was murdered. She was so young. She may be gone but she won’t be forgotten. We all have one life to live, let’s make it worth it.

I remember in the early days of RU-vid, I was just a child but I found this girl singing and playing her piano, I remember her lady gaga covers the most. We even share the same birthday!! Years later, she came to my country and I watched her concert and her very last song was “Goodbye”. Months later, news of her passing started to stream thru my social media. I didn’t believe it at first, I thought I was one of those fake news sources but it was on way too many news outlets… that really hurt. But like U said, she will live on in her music 😢

She is the only artist, out of all the greats that we’ve lost, that I continue to come back to listen to her music. She is eternal. A true angel that walked our Earth. This world didn’t deserve her pure, unadulterated goodness but God is it amazing that we got to witness it.

I'm typing through tears again. I've often wondered "what could have been" had the attack never taken place. She was such a fount of positive music. Would she have Grammy awards? Gold and platinum records? Losing any life to gun violence is one to many, but this one still hurts. Our society hasn't learned. This is the first song i heard her sing. I followed her music from then on.

Even after five years it still feels really raw about her passing. She was stolen from the world so soon when she had so much more love to share with all of us, and I can only imagine what she could have been doing now if she were still with us. That said, I’m sure she would be proud to see her friends, family, and fans carry on her legacy and spread positivity and change. Happy to see her legacy honored in a thoughtful way.

I love everything about this cover: the sound environment, the reverb, the style, that way that you guys express that the song is not the same, it's more like a way of saying "this shouldn't have happened, we miss you and we want to make your voice inmortal". But the thing I love the most of this video is the fact that you brought her back to life for a little while, it's like if you have said to her "please sing with us one last time". 😭 At least that's what I felt when I saw this video.

Both the original and the re-imagined version had me in tears. Nostalgia. She will not be forgotten. Her voice is part of my childhood's memories. How her voice echoes and filled with warmth and it carries the golden days as it shines through my soul. We will missed you Christina.

It's hard to see her in this video, seeing how full of life she is and knowing where she currently resides. It just hits different when you see her moving and singing and seeing stuff like her hair falling into her eyes as she sings - such small things but so much proof of a actual living person, but knowing that while she's alive in these videos, the same isn't to be said at this exact moment. Just- watching her be alive and happy and crossing that with the thought that she's gone right now, this exact second? It's just unfathomable. A gorgeous soul, an absolutely beautiful human. Christina deserved better, and all we can do is ensure the legacy she was just starting to build gets remembered and cherished.

I found this incredibly talented young person a couple months ago first singing this cover with Sam and the wonderful Kurt playing piano.. And after finding more songs she had sung from both her home and additional covers, I fell in love with her... I then learned the devastating news that the world had lost her to a creepy stalker who had become obsessed with her. Ok, I get the obsession, but why hurt her?? Such a wonderful singer and am so glad I came across her music after just looking up some of my favorite songs on RU-vid and giving the video a listen.

I teared up twice: during the epic Christina-Christina-Sam-Sam quartet and when Christina said thank you for watching at the end 😭 We will always love you! (And of course, Sam and Kurt too.)

Man hearing this and hearing the old cover, you can genuinely hear how insane Sam grew as a singer and how insane Kurt grew with his instrumental talents and production! If only we had Christina back.. I would of loved to hear this cover again with their refined professional voices. It would of been another huge cover release like it was back then.. I am happy to of been alive at the time it was released and to share a timeline with Christina, here's to waiting for the end where we can hear this legendary cover in the skies above.

You can really feel how hard the loss of his friend was on Sam, as most people probably point in the comments there´s a sadness to his voice - a scar on his heart that just dont quite heal up. Loss is a tough thing to go through. Kudos to Kurt and Sam for keeping her memory alive so that the younger generation also gets to enjoy Christina´s wonderful voice and energy

I was not ready for this. So many memories of being in school, finding her channel, listening to her music all the time. Her first album helped keep me sane during my deployment. I was fortunate enough to have met Christina on the voice tour and I will never forget that. Thank you Kurt and Sam for helping me relive this song one more time.

About ten years ago, this was one of my favorite songs, and I listened to this song everyday. I love Sam’s soft voice and Christina’s powerful voice, which are so perfectly matched. But ten years later, this video comes out, and the song is still the same. The only thing that doesn’t change is Christina’s beautiful and young appearance. The original had to be one of, if not the first cover I’ve heard on RU-vid. I fell in love with it immediately. Sam’s softer voice paired with Christina’s powerful voice so perfectly. The piano melody is so beautiful I remember learning it myself from a tutorial. I still remember the disbelief I felt when I heard the news. It’s difficult to even begin to imagine what the people closest to her had to go through. I’m super happy to see tribute made but Sam and Kurt’s somber sounds clashes so much with Christina’s cheerful voice, it just breaks my heart. The rush of nostalgia brings tears to my eyes rn

I started watching and heard about Christina Grimmie videos in the year of 2020. This song was the first time I ever heard of Sam Tsui and Christina Grimmie. It’s cruel and heartbreaking about what happened to Christina. Such an amazing and beautiful young talent and human being. Honor to her and her family. The first time I heard her sing I instantly became a fan. If I could sing I would sing this song as a tribute to her. She’s a real inspirational artist and a unique individual. Even though I just started started watching her videos a few years ago Christina inspired me never to give up on dreams.

I always only thought of this song as a someone who's singing about a past lover, but now I can totally see it as a song in remembrance of a lost loved one. The song hits differently hearing it now... RIP Christina Grimmie.

Ohhh, you really did a great job with this, Kurt, Sam. I'm totally sitting here sobbing. The original version of this was actually the first time I saw Christina. I had just begun exploring all of your videos, I believe I got to Kurt's channel because I had found Sam with Nick Pitera singing their duet of For Good, and I willingly dove into the rabbit hole of your beautiful music. I was absolutely stunned by this lovely angel's voice and the beautifully tight harmony with Sam. I got chills every. Single. Time. I played the video. I shared the link with my far away musical family and in person with my mother, with whom I sing, and was so thrilled to be able to see her reaction to the seemingly effortless peaks you both reached. I found this first video and dove right into her channel as well, loving everything. I wasn't able to watch the show, but followed her progress in The Voice and I was ever so proud of her. Mom was the way I found out that Christina was gone. I can't remember what I had been doing previously but my phone rang and it was mom, and I felt this weird lurch in my belly. I answered and she sounded so weird... she had just found out about it at my aunt's house and she called me immediately to let me know because she knew how much I enjoyed her and her art. She hated to be the one, but needed to be the one to tell me, because she didn't want me to hear about it on the news. I absolutely could not believe she was gone. The first thought I had after no no. No nonono... was OMG, her poor mom, her poor family... I am finally able to watch her videos and listen to her music mostly dry eyed, but sometimes not. I share them with others still, because I believe that she does live on in her music and she will never be less inspiring simply because she isn't making more music for us... I'm still crushed by her loss, but I'm so grateful for the time she was here. Thank you for making this new video. Sam, you sound as beautiful as ever; Kurt, your musical prowess and clever accompaniment are as ever, wonderful. Your talents continue to inspire.
