i may have found the song. I found a cassette tape at a garage sale that said “Tia Tullman and Micheal Danny - Just a Game (1992)”, should I go back to the sale and buy the tape tomorrow?
Im from the official subreddit of searching of this song, and sadly, Gabor72, the official poster of the snippet, has officially passed away. RIP Gabor, May god take care of you.
@@beltnet97 I dont know, the subreddit OP doesnt posted the cause of Dead, for not annoy the family. Maybe layer we'll got more information about their death.
In some alternate universe, “Just a game” is a classic, celebrated pop rock song, while “We are the champions” by QUEEN is almost completely lost in its entirety.
@@existentialhumanbeing7299 i think i remember "the rules dont matter, its just a game, were all having fun anyway" i was alot younger when i maybe heard the song so i cant remember much but i do know, the end of this video where theyre singing they kind of lengthen out on the "play" part, sorry i dont have good grammar
Did the video aired on some MTV kinda station and how it was if you remember more of it? (is it a rock duet?)@@steplayz It's fine about the grammar, by the way.
I think this snippet is at the end of the song cuz: 1. Singer sings "And NOW i know, its just a game...". mb this song is about: two people who stuck in the game, and through the song they realize that. 2. here chorus repeate 2 times, this is often using at the end in over songs. 3. and in 2 loop, singer stretched last word "game". this is often using at the end too. (idk how it help to find song)
i love how everyone in the comments is like "ive heard this! i swear!" even though this was a really common music style and they're likely just confusing it for another song
This is probably the lost song with the most clear lyrics Edit: how the fuck did I get this much likes Edit: Lyrics: -oh! And now I know it’s just a game I don’t need to rules to play Maybe it’s happy, maybe it’s sad but you can’t choose the way to play And now I know it’s just a game And I don’t need to rules to play Maybe it’s happy, maybe it’s sad but you can’t choose the way to play! Edit: the lyrics are According to pronunciation of the words and hints the other words around it give to what the words can be out of the variations
This is way more familiar sounding than pretty much any other lost song I have heard. The style reminds me of a late 90's early 00's Prog Rock Opera. Specifically 2004's "Human Equation" by Ayreon. I know it's not anything off that album specifically, or even by Ayreon as the voice is not similar to anyone I have known they have had on vocals.
I swear my brother-in-law's friend's cousin had a brother whose wife was at her mother-in-law's house and heard this song on the radio. At least that's what my work colleague said and unfortunately I don't remember when that was.
me too! well, my brother-in-law's friend's cousin's mother-in-law's mother-in-law's husband's home owner has played the song. it was called "Just a game".
I’m literally so sure that Just a Game will be next. With all these other songs being solved & us having Gabor’s daughter involved in the search, it’s very likely to be solved.
It definitely won’t, there are people dedicated to finding lost media, like myself, the subreddit is still alive and working! many lost songs have been found and the search isn’t off, especially with OPs daughter in the search. :)
I know a guy, who knows a guy, who knows another guy, who heard this song a long time ago. But he says he doesn’t remember the name or band. Hope this helps!
Okay, I don't know if we're all being tongue-in-cheek here or not, but I dug a little bit and I think this song is by a band called Rising Storm, released in 1994. It heavily reminds me of some of the tracks from Meat Loaf's Bat Out Of Hell II, and I think era-wise would be pretty accurate to the early 90's. The only copy of the album it's on however (assuming I have the right band) is listed for nearly $600 on Discogs. I seriously need to get my hands on this now just to see and share. I don't know how many people know this tidbit, so if this has already been figured out by most, then pay no mind to this comment lol
Due to the nature of the vocals, this sounds like an either a demo/proposal for a song, or something from an amateur band that might have never published any music.
I’m pretty sure I’ve heard this too! It was on September 95st , 1886 while my cats sister in laws wife was getting an abortion and there was a radio in the waiting room
@@alonzooopyo same! I heard it on 1911 February 41st when my dogs mom passed away and he was getting the inheritance we were on the place and I heard it on the radio
I noticed that too, which makes it even crazier that it's lost and unknown This song should hopefully be easier to find for that reason and let's hope it does get found because this song sounds really familiar. I feel like I've heard it before
I've looked through some song databases like ISRC and listened to almost all songs (the ones I could find) with these titles that were registered prior to 2000: "It's just a game" "Just a game" "Now I know" "Maybe it's happy" (no actual perfect matches) "The way to play" "Way to play" "You can('t) choose" I also skimmed through ISWC which I think is definitely more exhaustive as I could type really obscure artists/songs and still get results but didn't look deep since no dates are provided there and it makes the process a lot slower Sadly nothing has yielded from this slog but considering that EKT was sitting in both ISWC and ISRC all along I think people should look in these databases (not just ISWC/ISRC) more
Also note that: 1. it's possible that this song isn't registered anywhere which could also be the case 2. The dates attached to songs in databases like ISRC are just the year when they were registered and not necessarily the release date even though the two more than often coincide 3. Some songs don't have a date listed so I skipped them, this doesn't mean one of them can't be the one we're looking for
Well, as a contribution I leave some research data that I have documented from RU-vid and Reddit. - A possible band is "aorheart", checking their RU-vid channel there are songs that sound very similar to JAG, but the vast majority are demos so JAG could be a demo too. - In addition to the aforementioned, they have 2 songs with somewhat striking names, which are Want to i Know Just Another Night. Reviewing the first one, it is ruled out because I heard it completely and it is not JAG. but the second one is not there. - Another fact, the band is German. Here I leave the channel so you can compare the tracks: youtube.com/@aorheartedwin?si=g9tc2L4i8r7ZMY98 I hope I have helped with the search.
I have the full album of that band in my grandma's house, the release date is from 1975. I found the vinyl on a garage sale back in 2018/19 and bought it for 15 bucks. Unfortunally, i can't upload it on youtube because i made that up.
Hallo searched song we have here is old demo ”Game Of Love” by Gustl Lütjens & Nina Blazewski (1992-1993?). Gustl life long friend and fellow musician of mine, he pass away in 2017. I do not have this record anymore I’m sorry. / Tommi B
Gustl belonged as past member of german krautrock group Agitation Free but he make solo projects from time and time. This I think is from one album that was put on hold forever. I will contact Mischa and Chris from Agitation maybe they know more. (Excuse my bad english, old german rock-grandfather here) / Tommi B
@@Killerkyw I searched for it and couldn’t find it unfortunately. I’m only 90% certain it’s from “Magic” specifically, but I can confidently say it’s from an Italian musical. I remember it specifically.
Sounds like some guy on karaoke night who’s had one too many, but they still let him slip in his signature homemade instrumental backing track for the “big hit” he wrote. “Sure, Bill… you can sing your original song again tonight.”
I remember this song! I was in a war in South Sudan 25 years ago when all of the sudden, the sudanese fighters played this song. We put our guns down and started dancing! My friend Jack also heard it when he was talking to a microwave while scratching his balls! I might ask the government about this..
@@alonzooopfor real tho, i think the title of the song could be something else than the one everyone calls it. could be something like "And Now I Know" or "The Way To Play" but who knows.
nothing infuriates me more than some kid on here saying “their mom” knows this song and that they’ve heard it, (this counts for everyone knows ulterior motives) but when it comes to the song name, they just troll. literally stfu and stop claiming you know this song but “can’t remember the name”
