Hi friends! Over the past few weeks I've been picking away at this 'fort' in the woods, down by the creek. Is it a 'fort'? or is it a micro-cabin? Who knows what this thing will be in the end, but pretty sure it's gonna be stinkin' cute! 🤭
This is the second video of this project, and it feels to good to get to this point. I've tried some new things, which of course means I've learned some new things! It's a rather long video (I think my longest yet!), but there is a lot in it, so I hope you enjoy!

Yessssss! Heinz beans, only the best . I have a little cooking tip if anyone wants to try it please enjoy. So after cooking either a steak or say bacon in a frying pan then do not wash the pan & that is what you heat your next tin of beans up in. Even better if it had some onions in with the steak say. Enjoy. You take care with all those sharp implements Michelle. Looks good 👍🏆🇬🇧😎

I and one of my sisters went to an international (non-religious) school in Lausanne Switzerland in the 1960's. All the streets are steep between Ecole Nouvelle and downtown, Place St. Francois. So you are always walking up and down steep streets . Hello from Brunswick, Maine. US. from one hatched in Winnipeg, in 1952. Sept. 25, 2024.

Suggest you consider using a water level instead of a string level on your next rustic build. It's an ancient but simple tool that consists of a bucket of water, a long length of small diameter plastic tubing, and some food coloring. The coloring will make it easier to see the water level in the tube. Place the bucket full of water at a fixed spot, then fill the tube by creating a siphon. The bucket must be at an elevation, which allows for a level equilibrium to be reached between the water levels in the bucket and tube without draining the bucket. Use the level in the tube to establish reference points/marks on each one of your vertical supports. Measure up from these marks, which will all be at the same elevation, and then cut the vertical supports at the desired height. You may want to go to RU-vid for hints on how to use the water level. Use food grade antifreeze in subzero temperatures for obvious reasons 😊. -Greg PS: Love your really serious hammer and your vlogs.

Fun fact... I got into it with my boss a couple years ago regarding the use of impacts to run screws. The ENTIRE factory used impacts to run self-tappers into steel, so I did some research. Every single company that makes self-tappers specifies DO NOT USE AN IMPACT. LOL I even called a couple of them and talked to their support guys and they said the same thing. It's the same with decking screws, they say to not use an impact, yet everyone does it. I had trouble running Camo screws into Trex last summer so I called the local supplier and the first thing they asked me was "Were you using an impact tool?" LOL (I wasn't)

That picture frame turned out great and your 'fix' to close the gap was brilliant! You seemed super happy, content, and relaxed in this video. 😊 You probably already know this, but Amazon has several cordless pressure washers up to 1,200 psi. (maybe higher) They have pistol grips like a drill. Thanks for another fantastic project/build to share, MG! 😁

You should make yourself a water level. A piece of schedule 40 pipe, a 50 or 100 ft piece of 3/8 inch plastic tubing and a small valve on opposite end. Easy to make and accurate to 1/8 inch in 100 ft.

They didn't have laser levels in 1776 and yet they didn't walk all sideways or anything. Quit messin round with all them gadgets and just trust your eyes and getter done. Next, ya build them walls on the deck there and just stand em up and nail em down. Then the roof and window or two and door and viola, instant art studio/Honeycomb hideout/love shack or whatever. All that work is keeping you fit and trim, makes me all googly eyed and stuff.

What happened to the Bluetti, the units you were recommending before? Which is better? I've been looking at a home backup unit in the 2400 watt range. Got totally ripped off by VDLPower which did not work at all out of the box and still cannot get my money back. Don't know who to trust, but your use of these units gives you some experience with them.

Both are great brands! There are subtle differences in features in any power station so pick according to your needs. The quick charging that Ecoflow has come up with in this Delta 3 plus is incredibly useful and valuable, and in all my experiences might be one of my most favourite features for practicality.

If you stand all your posts, leave them long. Install rimjoists with a level. Then trim your posts. You don't need any fancy lasers or string lines. People always overthink things.

Doing this by myself though presents challenges in lifting 16’ Timbers. I did say that normally I use a long board to level and trim my posts, but I didn’t have anything 16’ long that is lightweight for one person.
