Just Another Reactor reacts to Lovebites - Judgement Day (Music Video) 

Fami really gives them a whole new level. Her slap style makes those riffs pop and those little melodic fills gives the music a third dimension that it didn't really have before. I'm a guitarist myself (I do play bass occasionally) but really enjoying the bass lines in this song more than anything.

While I wasn't a Lovebites fan, I had absolutely nothing against them, just didn't click with me. Still... I've been following Fami for 3+ years and would have never wished Miho's departure. I feel like Fami coming in to Lovebites will be of the same impact as Vlad coming in to play drums for Jinjer. Fami really ties in the band musically at a new level. I can't stop listening to this song!

Yeah they really keep going. I think Fami the bassist bring some difference with her playing style. She fits perfectly with the band. like she was with the band for years. My opinion i think this album it's gonna be their best. And the song right now is number one in the Japan music chart, moved Metallica to the second place. Thanks for your reaction. We've been waiting for their return for so long, so I really can't be disappointed because they're coming back with a masterstroke! Fami's first appearance is more than promising and then Asami's voice! Asami is outstanding. They all are by the way. Can't wait for the album..

Lovebites has proven itself once and for all to be one of the best bands ever. They play amazing heavy metal with lots of technical merit and this new single just kicks it all up to 11.

The bass lines have definitely changed with Fami. More detailed and intricate. Asami's voice is the best I've heard from her. Miyako & Midori seem tighter, especially Miyako with a bump up in speed. And Haruna is more intricate with her cymbal work. Amazing return.

So giddy right now with this video and the long-awaited return of LB! It's a long 2-month wait for the new album!

In Fami they have found a bassplayer that matches Midori ans Miyako. This sets the bar for new metal. BUT... Oh my Haruna...(she has short and colored hair now) the more I listen to this song I am convinced Haruna has a 3:rd arm. She is going nuts in some parts, and her cymbalwork ,oh my, she is ..hrm ...a badass beast. She has evolved as well maybe thanks to Fami's playing?

Love your reactions to the best band ever. Next time you play it, just try picking out Fami. *that* is the difference. *She* is the difference. I can’t stop playing this song, it’s musical Crack. And one of the reasons I keep playing it is because I can’t get enough of Fami’s inventiveness. During the the 4 part solo section she plays a different bass riff for each section. And during the chorus the bass run is so satisfying it purrs. I’ve been expecting a change of tone, a change of direction perhaps, and when they announced the recruitment of Fami and I watched Alien Alien I *knew* that they were going to be at their musical zenith. Yet as soon as she tapped the intro, and the glass shatters, I *still* wasn’t prepared. What makes this band so precious are the little details. Like being in the chat while we all sat slack jawed listening to the music…. Three words in passing. Gates of Babylon.

The change in style is obviously doing the band some good. There was nothing wrong with Miho's style, of course - the band made some AWESOME music with her - but Fami plays more like Miyu from Asterism and MISA from BAND-MAID rather than Steve Harris or Jason Newstead. I can't wait to hear the rest of the album.

This was mixed and mastered by Finnish masterminds, Mikko Karmila and Mika Jussila, who have worked on all of the band's previous studio albums. The same guys are behind every Nigthwish record too..

For me personally, to say that Lovebites are like Nightwish is an insult that can't be worse. How can they be like a band with mediocre musicians (except for vocals and now they have a good drummer), pop melodies and rhythmic structures and lyrics for teenagers. I think Nightwish is a typical product of mass culture and this explains its popularity. Sorry, but the evolution from Black Sabbath to Nightwish is just amazing. I can't think of a reasonable explanation for this phenomenon.:)
