I love this song. It's the song that was played on the day when I first accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior. I was 8 years old, and my daddy was a preacher. I'd been feeling the Holy Spirit tug at my heartstrings for almost 2 months. That night there was an evangelist who spoke. His name was Larry Moyer (Evantell), and I burst into tears at the beginning of the alter call, and practically ran down the isle to get to the alter. I am so thankful to have been born into a wonderful family with strong faith. First time I heard this hymn I was drawn to the altar by the Holy Spirit with eyes full of tears . I then gave my life to the Lord Jesus Christ, many, many years ago. Since then no turning back Amen.

My mother was killed a few years ago. Her killer was never caught and it's been weighing on my heart ever since. I wish she could have prayed with me one last time. She always used to sing this when I was little.

At 57, his ill health, and demons, finally got the best of him. I pray his soul is at peace and in the presence of the Lord.
