I hate when people compare Quincy Jones to these modern days producers like Diddy and Khaled and Just Blaze in this case. I hate it because it's always followed by something like "He didn't play all the instruments on Thriller, but he still produced it". That statement is very misleading. Quincy was a great trumpet player that played with some of the most famous jazz musicians ever. He also went to school for music, so that statement is an overused cliche, and nearly disrespectful to Quincy Jones' musical genius.
