It’s so strange looking back at this game and what it had, the older music, teen archetypes (the manic pixie dream girl in this song, Emos vs Preps in Girlfriend, etc). This may just be blind nostalgia but I think that there was something special about this game, the earlier entries can almost serve as time capsules that the teens of the 2000s are passing on to future teens. Newer Just Dances are known for just being pumped out each year but I think that the first few games had a lot of heart.
I think that the newer games might also end up serving like a time capsule in the sense that a lot of the songs seem to be fad songs that were popular at the time of release, so you could go through them and see what was popular at the time. But then again I haven’t played any of the games since 4 so I may also be completely wrong.
Absolutely. A lot of the music from the first three games are now all songs that were a big part of the indie sleaze subculture, this song being a huge one.
@@freebiedoesupscales I love the songs, choreos and maps now, especially with the camera angels and faces. I just wish they’d buying back vs mode (with the new map designs and cameras I could see it having so much potential, like anime fights for some songs almost), mashups and whatever else they had that made JD4 and 2014 so beloved
No other game could match the feeling of landing one of the golden moves perfectly then the thing at the left says 'YEAH' Or when you land so many perfects the thing goes on fire
YESSS I kept constantly looking for this song while typing in Just Dance 1 but then once I found out it was on 2 i realized I never had 1 in the first place but the nostalgia makes it feel like I had every single just dance lol
