What JD2020 looks like on Wii, for whoever's curious. [Update: September, 2022] Please do not ask for an ISO -- these comments will be deleted on sight. Help support my new RU-vid project: / @thegamingparadise
Some people are actually but maybe it's mostly because barely anyone uses Wii these days. Most people have already upgraded to Xbox One, PS4, and Switch or are going to pick up either of the two next gen consoles when they launch next year. Same reason why barely anyone talked about it when they discontinued PS3, and barely anyone is talking about it this year when they discontinued 360.
DreadLaud might not be last ever, if this does well, and it looks like it has so far this may open the door for some developers to cut costs on future games. It’s easier to burn and produce a disc right now than it is to purchase and produce switch cards, especially if the games total size is under 8.5gb, which quite a few are- and the Wii discs are dvd based- whereas Wii-U discs are harder to program for, so that’s the only logic I can get out of this.
Technically Ubisoft said that this is the final game from them coming to Wii so it's not confirmed whether it's the final Wii game altogether as another developer could always publish a game for Wii in the future. Discs are absolutely cheaper to produce and purchase than cartridges, but I think the point of Ubi discontinuing Wii is for marketing purposes to get people to upgrade to a newer console or use Stadia.
@@TheCooterpuppet I expect JD2020 on Stadia to end up like how JD2017 was the only JD on PC before Ubisoft completely ditched the platform. It's clearly not gonna have any real success, and you don't see people talking about Stadia. Xbox One, PS4, Switch -- these are the actual relevant platforms people talk about these days.
The latest Wii game (and possibly the latest 7th generation console game), it's unbelievable that even after 13 years the Wii still gets a game. Ubisoft was honored to release the franchise's 10-year game on the console where it all started.
"So you're a game developer?" "Yes." "For which company?" "Ubisoft." "Ah. I see. So you make games like Rainbow Six Siege?" "Nah. I develop for Nintendo hardware." "Oh! So you're creating games for the Switch?" "Not really, it's a bit older than that." "The 3DS!" "Nah." "The WiiU?" "Nope..." "._."
What a confusing and dumb situation. Playing a version from an older console in a newer console bc the new one didn't get it and it's retrocompatible. Incredible.
@@bnlopez9825 it wasn't released for the wii u, but because the wii u can run wii games, you can play it, but at a waaaay lower quality than the previously released JDs on the wii u
I saw this game in the store for the Wii yesterday and couldn’t believe I was seeing a new game for the Wii after so many years and basically being abandoned by now. It’s really cool to see this though
So werd hearing 2019 songs on a dead console ( edited ) 2021 August 20 ) well it is dead but not saying it in a rude way I’m just sayin that it isn’t supported anymore and people find playing and releasing stuff on the Wii in 2020 is dumd so that’s why I said it’s dumd so it’s kinda dead but still I would say it’s just us werd for a release )
Website: just dance 2020 has all kinds of new features, together with Unlimited! Me, owning the wii version, seeing not a single sign of any new features: is this a joke? Where is the Unlimited tab then? And the menu is literally the same as JD2014
I wish they put premium songs on here because the other just dances have them. Its kinda not fair we can't have those due to the wii internet services removed
(Update: Ubisoft got the ISO not too long after the game's launch. Keep in mind neither of these links work anymore.) I just posted the ISO. Spain: Just Dance 2020 SOLD OUT for the Wii France: Just Dance 2020 SOLD OUT for the Wii México: Just Dance 2020 SOLD OUT for the Wii Now Ubisoft has to think about ending the support hahaha.
Actually people are already moving on to Xbox One, PS4, and Switch (or intend on getting either the next gen Xbox or PS coming out this year). Switch already sells several times better than Wii as of JD2018 because people have upgraded.
For the Xbox One, PS4, and Switch versions, enter the code "extrajustdancesong" in the redeem code option in the settings to get it. The song is available by default without a code on the Wii version.
That’s crazy. I could care less about Just Dance, but this is such a thing being the last game for the Wii that I might have to pick it up. Honestly, I don’t see any other controller being comfortable to play with. Joycons are just too small for me.
@@PaullMight What did you just SAY? You're saying the Wii is outdated garbage? I still use my Wii for playing Wii Sports (Resort), Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2, and more. Yes I feel bad for the Wii U because it had awful advertisement but the Wii is garbage? The graphics aren't that bad if you think about it. The first Wii had Gamecube Support. Also, the Wii had original titles like Mario Galaxy, Wii Sports, Big Brain Academy, the Sonic storybook games (yes, I like them), and the lists goes on and on and on, while the Wii U just has sequels or remakes like Mario 3D World or Twilight Princess HD, and the Wii U's original games (which were great by the way) were just ported to the 3DS or Switch like Mario Maker and Yoshi's Woolly World. I'm trying my best not to be mean, but don't bash the Wii just because it came out in 2006 and the Xbox 360 and PS3 had "better" graphics. Better graphics doesn't mean it's outright better, I mean, the Xbox 360 or the PS3 (I don't know which one of the two) didn't have Internet out of the box, you had to buy a adapter. And also, how did the Wii outsold the Xbox 360 and PS3? Please, give the original Wii some credit.
@@nintendofanreviewerandunbo2999 Yeah, the Wii is outdated 🙄 Obviously there are a lot of great games, but now it's time to play on better conditions, especially if that's a new game! The Wii remains my first console and I loved it, but now I bash it because his specs were so poor, that's a fact. The Wii U was too but it's enough for Just Dance. Only first versions of Xbox 360 hasn't wireless Wi-Fi, but he was released in 2005 with very high specs Compare Wii games vs 360 or PS3, the difference is huge, that's why we don't miss games on Wii
@@PaullMight What do you mean that we don't miss the Wii game, 96 % of us that owned or still own the Wii miss it and it's games, Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 were fun to play, has amazing characters, great story (for Mario Galaxy 1), great gameplay, and most importantly, provided great childhoods for kids. Same for Sonic Colors. Simple, cute, and silly story, (usually) great level design, memorable characters, and saved Sonic. The Wii U, on the other hand, has pretty forgettable games. Not trying to bash it, I mean, Mario 3D world, New Super Mario Bros U, and my favorite, Yoshi's Woolly World, were pretty fun and unforgettable. However, most games (unfortunately), were just trash, glitchy, ugly, or a combination of those. Sonic Boom was ugly, glitchy, and outright trash. Same for Devil's Third, and plenty of others. Also, (to me and some other people), graphics on the Wii look great. Take Sonic Colors, for example. The graphic look stunning, colorful, and, sharp. Also, graphics don't matter, I mean, the GBA was pixelated, yet everyone praises the graphics. Same for the DS, alot of people like the graphics (like me). And what do you mean "fan boy". Your basically being like the IGN or someone else vs the Sonic Fanbase. Like I said before, don't bash the the Wii JUST because of the graphics. The Wii U is a pretty good console, but it has problems too, like the lack of third party, and how the game pad can barely hold any charge. Don't say the Wii U is problem-free, it does have problem too. As a matter of fact, ALL game consoles have problems, some more or less. In the end, I'm just stating the facts, and if you don't want to accept that, that's ok, but I'm telling you, alot of people are going to miss the Wii.
Amazingly, the rumor of continued Wii releases being because of rehab facilities is _false!_ They went until 2020 simply because enough people bought the Wii versions to justify that continued support!
It looks better organized than last year, and I like that they added some details on the menu background but I do wish that there were more features. I hope I'll get the game for Wii tomorrow, so exciting!!
I think at this point Just Dance 2020 is marketing to the almost retro market You only buy a BRAND NEW Wii game for nostalgic value Of if you never upgraded I guess
I heard Just Dance 2020 for Wii sold more copies than for Xbox one and PS4. I think many families still play together on wii and wii u. I remember Ubisoft said last year JD 2019 was the last game for Wii and now said again about JD 2020. I think this won't be the last if the sales goes well...
They never said anything last year about JD2019 being the last game for Wii. And they're pretty much saying goodbye to old gen at this point, they already stripped online features and ceased PS3 support last year, ceased 360 support this year, and Wii support will be dropped next year, probably because they want to push people to buy a new console as sticking to older gen consoles is not ideal, and they also want to push Stadia and JDN for people without a newer console instead of Wii these days, as Wii is the only console JD2020 is on that has no WDF, JDU, all stars mode and other features. And yeah, in North America Xbox One has slightly outsold Wii copies since JD2018 but many European families seem to hold onto it, hence it outselling xone and ps4 worldwide.
Ubisoft: sorry, you need to live your own Wii: why dad? We still have a lot of unfinished projects Ubisoft: because you old, and now you need to rest... Wii: nooo dad Ubisoft: *kill wii with gun* (R.I.P Just Dance Wii, 2009-2020)
When i went to Fallout Games (a retro store in AZ) earlier this year I saw that they had the wii version of JD 2020 and I was in shock, like "what?? And how??" Thinking it was outdated but yea!! Thats still pretty cool they kept to their roots for as long as they did ❤😁
Online doesn’t work on Wii and shop doesn’t work anymore and there still going to release a game also not hating I just think it’s funny also I will sub
@@aldmyboi I only started up the game and made a dancercard to see the menu myself before deleting the save. I didn't actually play anything before deleting the save.
H-H- HOW??!! Can we see what the dancer selection screen looks and... When you start the game do you get the jingle sound in the wii remote like Just Dance 4?
The songlist is separated enough so you can enjoy each 3, it makes it seem like there's more to do. It also helps to have actual modes, NOT A RANDOM BUTTON
They did this because not only is Wii U last gen but the console had really poor sales during its lifetime so barely anyone would pick up the game for Wii U. Also, Wii is extremely outdated hence Ubisoft is dropping support for it next year. The only versions of the game that Ubisoft supports now that have the online features are the Xbox One, PS4, and Switch versions. (Also the Stadia version but who even plans to buy JD for Stadia anyway? Ubi will probably discontinue Stadia next year anyway for this reason)
