I recently got mine! I had donated on the kickstarter, when it was still in development and it wasn't certain that it would go into production. I'm glad it worked out.

The tripod could be a bit more robust. I will swap it out for one of the several spotting-scope tripods I already have.

So unlike the Dwarf 2, or the SeeStar S50, looks like this one does not track objects, unless I am missing something in the video?

Here's the thing: The only camera lense it uses is the 1:1 wide-angle to get the right aspect ratio, then boosts that 10X. My phone has a 10X lense built-in. The results are similar with waaaaaay less hassle. I was hoping to get 10X on top of the 10X lense. Well, it didn't work😝

I received mine last week and are you supposed to take the rubber piece off of the top eye hole?

I don't think so. It acts as a cushion and seal between the phone and "eyepiece."

You only need to take the protective plastic film off.

so inside is optics, in a box.. and you use THEIR app ( wich isnt surprizing) if you use an app like stellarium, and stacker. you can do the same as most smart phones now have GPS and GYROs ..

I got the Dwarf 2 telescope from Dwarf Labs. The reason why I passed on this device is because it can't record video or time-lapse. If I want a photograph I use my Nixon P1000

Ooh, this is my first time to hear about of that Vaonis Hestia Standard. Gotta say it looks really beautiful and powerful phone standard for an astronomy, it's so an amazing you can take photos of celestials with your phone. Only things what I've ever taked pictures in the sky are a cloudy sky, sun and moon. With Vaonis Hestia, can I take pictures of even planets too? Telescope technology have been evolved surprisilly fast. I would love to buy that but it's price $300 is not too expensive, it's just a perfect price. By the way I want to ask from you High Point Acientisc: What is the best telescope as a beginner with a price $200 or under it? That video was good, keep going you do great science job HPS! 🌌☀️🪐🌏🌍🌎📱🔭🌄🌃🌫🌑🌠😮

I have had my Seestar smartscope (that I got from High Point) for 5 days and have been having a great time with it each night. This video didn't really give enough info, but it looks to me like this device lacks a lot and would sour you on observing the skies. I bought a decent telescope last year for around $400, but it is still lacking - it doesn't track or find a target by itself. However the Seestar, does everything for $500, which is still a lot but I got some great pictures of the Orion, Flame and Horseheads Nebula last night and yesterday some pictures of Sun spots. This would be my recommendation.
